How have we never gotten anything about that XCV Enterprise?

Especially when you consider Decker's comment in TMP that Voyager 6 was launched 300 years ago, and the Chronology had the refitted Enterprise in 2215.

Of course, that's still incompatible with the canonical dating scheme, because TMP is in 2273 and the first two Voyagers were launched in 1977, so there's no telling how much later the sixth would've been launched. Also, Decker wasn't talking about when it was launched, but when it was lost in "what they used to call a black hole," and there's no telling how many decades or centuries it would've had to travel to encounter such a thing, even if there were an undetected micro-black hole somewhere on the outskirts of Sol System. So Decker's line would've logically put TMP sometime in the 24th century at the earliest. Simpler to assume he just misspoke.

Dare I admit I had to google "XCV Enterprise"? :)

It didn't even make it into this - I assume the book predated identifying the ship number: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_Enterprise_Logs
I looked when this thread was first started and was shocked to see that it had the sailing ship and aircraft carrier in stories, but not the XCV. I think at this point we probably have enough Enterprises to do another one these now, especially if we include a new Strange New Worlds story even though they covered Pike in the first one.
Let me see we have the NX-01
Strange New Worlds
the G
the F
the Kelvin
Hmm, I guess it's not as many as I thought, so maybe not quite enough for another anthology yet.

It’s gonna hurt to hear it, but same month and year I was born.

Not the first time I've heard that!

True story: Some years ago, when I was on the Warner Bros. lot working on the novelization of The Dark Knight Rises, I joked to a young staffer that I had been writing BATMAN tie-ins "since Michelle Pfeifer was Catwoman."

"Wow," she replied, "that was the year I was born!"

Ouch. :)
