Isn´t this a bit blown out of proportion? Yes, low blood sugar is something that should be treated ASAP but I never heard of it beeing treated as a full blown medical emergency. I think there is more to that story then in the article.

That's TMZ for you

I don't think there's any reason why we would know full details of Shatner's private medical records, so yes there's likely more to it.

Let's hope he makes a full recovery!

Yeah, but Mick Jagger has lived a life.
Whats that supposed to mean? Are you implying Shatner hasn´t? As far as I know he is lving his live to the fullest, still doing conventions, still riding horses, went into (near) space and all of that with over 90.

All well and good. Nobody should be shocked that Shatner has lived such a long and fruitful life. What is shocking is that Jagger (and Richards) are still around after living the kind of lives they've lived.

I think they meant that Jagger living the Rock 'n' Roll life and all that entails, the boozing, drugs, and stuff, that he's still around

Gentlemen, please. This is the Trek BBS. (long ironic pause). Let us not quibble over reality. Surely we can agree that both the Jag and the Shat are hams extraordinaire and leave it at that.:borg:

Yes, I think we can all agree that The Shat is a feisty awesome old guy and that Mick Jagger is lucky to have not died decades ago.

depends on how hypoglycemic he actually was. typically EMTs will show up and give the patient a D50 bolus to stabilize the patient for severe cases. Then they might keep him for observation overnight to watch his blood sugar and look for other symptoms, and if it happens again look for some etiology.
