Only Murders in The Building

So -

Who's finger is it? Uma's comment about changing her hair, but nobody noticing feels like a clue - like it's a longer term character and nobody clocked a missing finger.

Any early guesses?

This isn't the kind of mystery show that gives the viewers clues to figure it out. Every viewer says it's every character and the one who gets it right celebrates for a random guess with no basis in anything.

Ever read the online comments for Dexter? They just grasp at straws and come up with the most out-of-nowhere theories about every character who appears having a bigger secret role in the plot than what's currently on the screen, and they're always wrong. Then they get mad that the show isn't following the script they made up in their heads.

Here's my random guess based on nothing....

The wives made a pact and killed each other's husbands.

Seems unlikely on Lester's side at least, mob side makes perfect sense!

I'm really torn to take on the latest season. I like the show's warmth, but I found it increasingly hard to watch. For me they kick off with a stellar episode or two... then just shilly shally about until the end episode where they want to solve it. Anything discovered early on in the season you can just ignore basically.

Well my theory based on nothing, the show's actually going there. But it's way too early a reveal for it to be the answer.

Knowing this show, the killers will be the Drunk Slut podcasters with the connection to the plot pulled out of thin air.

I can't believe Paul Rudd died again!

At least it's now explained why Charles was being so lascivious in the first episode! Phew!

"I'm a professional...semi professional." I did love his dating profile.

Loved the garbage guy who appears to be part Moorlock!

@Aragorn I did think of you when that happened, but yeah, way too early for it to be them.

I was just wondering the other week where Detective Williams was so good to see her.

Love that Howard was walking the robot rather than a dog in the titles!

Oliver wouldn't move out, would he?

I don't like to imagine that one day this show will end, even though I know it will.

Loved watching the Arcadia over time through Lester's eyes.
It was cute but the timeline was strange.

Lester was clearly a man in late-70s at the time of death. He said he was born in 1948, making him around 77.

According to the episode, he started at the Arcadia thirty-two years prior, meaning he would have begun his career there as a middle aged man of 45.

But "young Lester" appeared to be in his early to 30s. at most and was written the same way (young). He wasn't even married yet.

Also, Nicky doesn't age at all. He's older than Lester 32 years ago, and younger than Lester in the present day. They probably should have had Lester start with Nicky's dad and then introduce Nicky a few years ago.

Bobby Cannavale is 55, and visually hasnt changed much since Third Watch in the late nineties, similarly Tea Leoni is 59, and only looks moderately older than her days in The Naked Truth.

I've only known Cannanvale since Boardwalk Empire but I particularly noted in this episode how Leoni has aged very gracefully. Hard to miss during that very steamy scene with Charles at that club!

I'm watching this show and it's going well. I think it will either continue for many years like Grey's Anatomy. Or it will finish with the 8th season and continue as a 'theater' movie series.

That was possibly the weakest episode of the season for me, though it was nice to get some history of Oliver's past and nice for Mabel and The to make up. Charles with an earring is just plain wrong though!
