Wadi troopers during The Dominion War?

Evening, everyone.

It occurred to me that the Wadi (i.e., that race of hedonists from a peculiar Season One episode) would have made for an unusually effective fighting force in "ground"/personal combat. If there were a way to weaponize their "game", it could be thrown out akin to the Ghostbusters Ghost Trap in order to imprison entire Jem'Hadar platoons in virtual worlds.

Were the Wadi not from the Gamma Quadrant?

Team Dominion all the way for them, surely?!

Hypothetical point taken though - I could see them more as torturers putting captured Alpha Quad people into their games in a cruel and unusual punishment type deal

The Wadi did not seem to be interested in combat. Neither did the Founders really need anyone else to do their combat for them other than the Jem'Hadar.

The Hunters chasing after Tosk were briefly considered as allies of the Jem'Hadar, but that was dropped.

If you can "throw out" a game module, you can throw out an explosive that takes out just as many people, and much faster.

To the best of my recollection, the Wadi's game's ability to affect living beings (i.e., take them out of commission/pluck them from normal space) completely bypassed barriers (i.e., bulkheads); an explosive would still need to damage intervening materials and it presents the risk of "friendly fire". Still, I was not trying to imply that other weapons would necessarily become obsolete. This was merely a way of envisioning how they might have contributed to the theater of war in small-scale confrontations.
