That is exactly what I was thinking. Disney was overtly trying to downplay or even outright hide any imagery from the original movie when Legacy came out. I think the Blu Ray of 1982 Tron was dumped out with little notice months before Legacy in 2010. Obvious reasons to sell it to younger generations and gamers who had no nostalgia for original. But this time is completely different. There is at least one California screening of whole trilogy planned right before Ares is released.
I just rewatched first two films yesterday. The symbol Flynn has on his chest in newest trailer is from his costume in 1982 movie. No where to be seen in Legacy.

I assume OG Tron is getting a little more light due to the original grid featuring in Ares. Always good to try and make sure people are all on the same page when it comes to referencing a 40+ year old movie.
Tron's Blu-ray premiere was the same day that Legacy came out on Blu. They were matching special editions.
If they had shown that one as the first trailer rather than the last one, I'd have been way more hyped. I think this trailer does a much better job than all the others.
Right. Although why they didn't use the Tron / Yori key art that was the mirrored by the Sam / Quorra Tron: Legacy art was always beyond me.
Remember how they put all of the Legacy stuff on the web so you had to sync up your computer and your blu ray player? All that stuff is long dead now, of course. (Was it just Legacy or was it both of them?)
Same. The new 4K releases finally have complementary art, which is nice for anyone who manages to get those.
The "second screen" stuff had a lot of cool material, but it was (IIRC) mainly art gallery style stuff. Images, CG model turnarounds, etc. The full motion extras (about a half an hour total) are on the disc.
I had a collection of the second screen extras someone compiled back in the day, but I think it must have been on a drive that went kaput because I can't find it now.

I must be having some Mandela effect memories of the original film on home media, if not Blu Ray. My memory is it was hard to find. Or pre Legacy rumors that Disney was not going to release it too. Who knows.I
Can someone explain this hive minded like attitude of people hating on Leto? The movie isn't even out yet and you see comments from one person then another one joins in? I don't know the guy and I've only seen a couple of things he was in so don't get this

He thinks he's a method actor because he acts like an asshole to other actors and sends weird stuff in the mail, and slows down production by insisting he be on crutches because his character is.
Even if he was an amazing actor it would be incredibly awful behavior.

That's fair enough though. I haven't really seen him beyond a couple of movies so haven't really formed it definite opinion one way or the other on him

I do agree that he's a weirdo who takes his "method acting" way to far, but to be fair, I believe this was from The Met Gala, and everybody does weird shit at that. Now this of course is taking that weirdness to an extreme, but it does at least make a tiny bit more sense with that context.
Meta Gala or not, it's still weird as fuck.
