Are the colleges frontloading their season with weaker opponents?

We played Syracuse for the opener but then we scheduled ETSU for two reasons. 1. they're in-state and our program Phillip Fulmer, Randy Sanders and a bunch of in-state peeps helped rebuild their program after it was cancelled. If we were gonna give someone money, I'm glad we gave it to them. 2. (probably the more important reason) we play Georgia this coming Saturday.
