Things that frustrate us all

This doesn't apply to me since I'm not getting it, but apparently a lot of Apple consumers are upset the new iPhone Pro only comes in three colors, that one of the colors isn't black, but one color is Cheetos/Doritos/Velveeta orange.

Eek Adobe... The only thing I use of theirs is the .pdf reader and even that is full of bloat and advertising.

I am back from the doctors. They couldn't see anything wrong internally with my legs structurally nor any abnormalities. To quote my doctor "I am a puzzle" is my symptoms unusual and don't line up with anything expected. He suggested taking some anti-inflammatories and having some light physio.
That is the only part I use is the reader, but I get the constant crap updates and additions I never asked for. The only reason I still use it is it was on the HP desktop when I bought it.

Good luck.

But I warn you though: Be careful about revealing your autism if you're employed. Despite what the laws in most countries say in that people with disabilities like autism have to be accommodated, some employers can be total jackasses and find ways around the laws.
Trust me, I know. The same goes for my bout of depression, I can't say it or I won't get hired.

Edit: I brought a stuffed pokémon plush online, boy was the delivery company a hassle. It was delivered when I wasn't home, and neighbour received them. I got a mail that a person called Ahmad had my package, no adres, no phone number, nothing. Ahmad brings the pokémon plush the next day thankfully, I was worried I might have never gotten them.

I filled a complaint a complaint online, the day after that they called me why I filed a complaint. Because you could file a complaint without specification, so I said the package was accepted by someone without an adres or phone number. They called me back a hour later, saying they called Ahmad and he said that he gave it to me. So it was not a problem anymore to them.

Which is not not the point, he could have kept them. I'm not a racist, I would have been distrustfull of anyone who had that package. And then I had a phone call from the delivery dude "thanking" me for the bad review. So I filed a complaint through email about what happened, hopefully it doesn't happen anymore. I also messaged the dude online who had the pokémon on sale about what happened, so they lost me and the seller as costumers

Probably they have the merchandise, but tariffs kicked in for imports (de minimis exemption) to the United States, that used to be exempt. The tariff is paid by the purchaser in the United States starting August 29.

Oh, OK, so the $200 is the additional tariffs/import taxes, above the cost of the discs? I guess that makes sense. I guess I misread it, and thought the $200 was the cost of the discs themselves, and the concern was that, because of the shipping issues, they would just never arrive.

Sadly, if I’m understanding the current tariff situation, those costs will have to be paid regardless, whether one uses a U.S.-based importer, or buys directly from Via Vision.

Yes, the import tax is ultimately passed on to the consumer. I think the magic number for Australian imports to the US is 25%.

Yup, there’s also the likelihood a flat fee may be applied, and that’s $100 across the board, based on what I saw when I last looked at USPS’ website.

So I’m basically stuck with two copies of the same product, and may have to pay extra for the ones coming directly from Australia. Unfortunately for me, I discovered too late that Imprint doesn’t refund preorders.

Oh well… if anyone wants to buy extra copies of GI Jane and Battle of Britain come December/January, it seems I’ll have them…

Doesn't affect me either (100% Android here), but it's been speculated that the colors were made to match Tim Cook's alma mater, Auburn University.

It's too bad he wasn't an Oregon alumni. They have a different colored football uniform every week.

Two things:

- I wish my maternal grandparents weren't so old fashioned, I was showing a tiny bit a cleavage and my grandmother immediately said: "I wouldn't walk around like that if I were you, you can get harassed." Tell me you are a rape apologist without telling me you are a rape apologist. Not so fun when I was recently followed by a car

- My weight loss journey is going to be extremely annoying, I can feel it. My weight remains the same, but the balance scale at the dietician tells me I lost fat and gained muscles. I can tell, I bought new pants recently and they're already too big. Nobody tells you when you lose weight, you don't actually lose weight but you gain muscles and they weigh more than fat, fun times
