Found a part-time job. Have only done all the paper-work--haven't been trained yet. Will find out the schedule in a day or two. I hope I can at least get enough for grocery money.

I comforted my neighbor who had been verbally abused by her brother. Her phone malfunctioned and he took his frustrations out on her. While calming her down I reminded her that every family always seems to have one irresponsible jackass, and I thanked her for coming to me. We watch movie double-features every Tuesday.
I bring my elderly aunt to town for groceries or medical appointments at least twice a week ( her son works late).
Beside her house is a great open meadow and all this summer I walk out there with her dog.Just standing in the field pretty soon I will get buzzed by the group of swallows that inhabit the area and it is dizzying to just watch them jinking around the sky.Amazing.
Nearly time for their migration but I’m enjoying it while it lasts.

We had a "surprise" inspection of the store yesterday from the corporate office.
I put "surprise" in quotes because we knew they would be in town this week visiting all the locations, just not which day they would be visiting, so, we had time to prepare.
The visit was supposed to last for most of the day as they would watch us perform our duties, but ended up lasting just a couple of hours, as they left satisfied that we were doing our jobs correctly and the store was clean and well organized.
We scored top marks.

FINALLY got a job, at a shop I like, with prospects for advancement. Pay is just OK, more than I'd been offered at other stores but far less than I used to make. But since I've been earning ZERO for the past two months or so, it's good enough.
Boss seems super-nice and bumped my schedule back so I can go to Mom's for her 90th birthday weekend.

I have a house I inherited that is vacant. I check on it a minimum of 3 times a week. This week I checked it on Tuesday night and everything was fine. I go back Wednesday late afternoon and a sliding glass door was shattered, and they stole part of a 48 pack of marathon toilet paper and emptied a box of the rest of the plastic trash bags. They started to load up on pewter, drinking goblets, but left a trash bag of it at the door. I called the sheriff non-emergency line and they responded. The thieves left behind a piece of mail, in the yard, with their address on it. I got the glass in the door replaced today for less than $500.00. The sheriff's deputy said he will be speaking to them.
Couldn't have been suffering that much from it if they only stole part of the pack.
(Like seriously, isn't it easier to just grab the whole thing rather than opening it and dealing with individual rolls?

Four rolls were already out of the 48 roll pack. I do yard work and general clean-up and use the toilet as needed. That is why they only took part of the pack, they would have to suck the septic tank out to get the rest.Couldn't have been suffering that much from it if they only stole part of the pack.
