I'm glad the rest of the kids are now becoming more distinguishable characters with this episode and all it took was for Wendy to be sidelined for most of it. Curly and Nibs are the ones that are grabbing my attention the most at the moment, between Curly's struggles with her traumatic experience with the eyeball squid and Nibs' growing intellectual curiosity. I also love how that all of the kids came out of the search and rescue mission distinctively effected and I'm intrigued to see where each of their character arcs will go.

Adding fuel to the debate of the shared universe, there were several moments in this episode that immediately made me think of Blade Runner (intentionally or not). The murky streets Morrow wandered through evoked the same quality of Los Angeles, although I know that's a common aesthetic in many shows and films these day. Thanks to Curly's encounter with him, we've gotten a better look at the suit worn by the guy spraying the walls in the corridor and I immediately thought of Hannibal Crew's getup.

On a completely different note, while I continue to be impressed how Timothy Olyphant has completely disappeared in the role of Kirsh, I thought his "look with your eyes" exasperated comment to Tootles screamed Raylan Givens, complete with judgmental side eyes.

I am loving this so far. Im fully invested in all the characters and their own individual arcs. Im curious to see what becomes of the embryo into the lung and how that works.

Is this our first look at the chestburster? Always nice when they show something new that's been there all along

What I don't like is too much dude! bro! wendy! wendy! joe! joe! wendy? wendy?! bro!

Very weird ending. I don’t know what to make of that. I don’t see how a Xenomorph would have any connection to a synthetic

I hate leaving a show that I started but after 3 episodes it's really not that great, but I'll watch till the end to judge the show.
Retreading the same thing over n over after all these years is becoming very tiresome.

It feels like a cop-out that we didn't actually see the fight with the alien.
Nor the Ships crews deaths, glossed over too, could have been a great opening hour if they showed the ship more the first episode and show the death.

Overall pretty good so far, looking forward to next week.
And Tim is just Excellent..

It’s probably too early to make the pun that, unlike the research ship, the show is sticking the landing, but certainly I found episode 3 to be as gripping as the first 2 (shows often begin to sag after the opening exposition and big spectacle is out of the way, in my experience). Enjoying seeing how the other lost boys and girls are showing their own personalities and the actors are doing a great job portraying kids’ minds in adult bodies. Olyphant, Lawther, Blenkin and Ceesay also all playing a blinder. I really want to see Samuel Blenkin portray Tom Baker or even the Fourth Doctor who some day!

I also have to single out Ade Edmondson, who is doing a nice line in creepy. Never, when watching The Young Ones as a teen, could I have imagined that Vyvyan Bastard would turn up in both a Star Wars film and an Alien tv show…

I'm well on my way to getting quite hooked on this show now.

The cracks are starting to show in one or two of the lost boys, and I can't help but think it's going to get a bit bloody, and that's without any Xenomorph involvement.

There's still so many questions that need answering for me, so I hope we get to learn more about Morrow's journey and how they knew where to go and contain these lifeforms.

Appreciative of the Metallica inclusion.

After all the big action and plot focus of the first two episodes, it was nice to get a mostly quieter character focused episode.
What time do the episodes come out actually?

They air on FX at 8:00, and are added to Hulu at 5:00 in AZ, which I think would also be 8:00 on the east coats.

Technically we did see at least some of the crew's deaths, they were just in the quick flashes in the beginning of the first episode. I'm fine with how much we got of the crew of the Maginot, giving them to much time would have distracted from the actual story, which is Wendy and the other Lost Boys.
Is this the first time we've actually seen what the Facehuggers put into people to make a Chestbuster?
I'm curious how far they're going to take this rivalry they seem to be setting up between Curly & Wendy.
One thing that's really impressing me is how well the actors are playing kids in adult bodies, they're just childish enough to be believable, but not annoyingly over the top.
Was that Joe's lung they put the chestbuster embryo in? I'm wondering if they're going to put it back in him to see what it does, but I'm not sure if the Prodigy team would go that far. They seem to be wanting them to be at least semi likeable so far, and that take them into full on villain territory.
I'm curious who's going to get Facehuggered, because someone must since we've seen what appeared to be the Lost Boys hunting a Xenomorph in the jungles of Neverland.
As for Wendy hearing the Xenomorph and the Facehugger, I'm wondering if she's hearing stuff in a frequency that normal humans can't pick up.

Was that Joe's lung they put the chestbuster embryo in?
Yup.

I'm wondering if they're going to put it back in him to see what it does, but I'm not sure if the Prodigy team would go that far.
I am. They absolutely would do something like that. Boy Kavalier has zero regard for human life and he has already made it clear that he finds Wendy's desire to reunite with Joe as a distraction against his own interests. This is killing two birds with one stone.

I'm on the second episode. Why hasn't Weyland-Yutani learned how to safely transport alien specimens after all these films? They always put them in extremely fragile glass things that break at the slightest stress. Put a facehugger inside a metal cylinder. Then put that cylinder inside another cylinder. Then put chains around the cylinder. And then tow that cylinder behind a spaceship with a kilometer-long cable.

I think they were conducting research on the ship. Weren't most of the crew scientists?

To be fair, this takes place before the original and is ignoring the prequels, so this is most likely the first time anyone has encountered Xenomorphs, and the Prodigy people don't know what happened on the Maginot.
