Was doing a bit of a rewatch of Family Guy and got to the episode where they go to a Star Trek convention and Stewie abducts the cast of TNG (Michael Dorn is the MVP of this I think, especially when they go to Maccies and he is asking if they serve alcohol and have the McDLT) and in light of
it got me thinking about what my favourite Trek/Trek adjacent moments in non-Star Trek shows are.
Black Mirror with the Callister would take number 1 for me as it gives us a full length Trek adjacent episode but it is parodying rather than being outright Trek so I don't think I can place it there - would also open up the whole of The Orville (sorry @Jayson1 ) which could simply become a "best of Orville" thread...
Star Trek XII: So Very Tired from The Simpsons is a classic moment and pokes fun at it in a loving way
You have the TNG style cliff-hanger ending of Stewie Kills Lois which is good value but has been done better.
Think for me it comes down to a 1a and 1b situation between Futurama (Ah Welshy...) and the aforementioned Family Guy "Not All Dogs go to Heaven" - two very different takes on it but both are fun episodes that have their own personality beyond just being "Trek...lets rinse it and take the piss out of them cos theys (sic) virgins innit"
So BBS - what are your favourite Trek outside of Trek moments?
Once we have a few bouncing around I might even get a poll going and see if we can determine the number 1
