Not actually misinformation. If you want to use a bad-sounding word to describe her beliefs, I'd suggest "malinformation" is a bit closer to the mark, as it means factually true material which is censored because it interferes with the agenda of the people in charge.

I don't fully recall fully what Carano said but from what remember is she was trying to say the way people treat each other(assuming she is talking about social media and cancel culture) was similar to how Nazi Germany got started. Granted she has said other others as well that are actually kind of worst but the Nazi metaphor is the one people honed in on. Because people love calling people Nazi's. Almost as much as they love quoting George Orwell. Can't go a day without someone comparing modern times to "1984" or "Animal Farm" these days.

What voices? She denied the election results and than there was violence? As I recall she was barely on the radar in 2020 and early 2021. You seem to really be magnifying this. She's a wrestler and actress. She hasnt done anything to inflame violence.

Viruses don't float around independently, they are always attached to something. In the case of face masks, the air we breath out contains microscopic drops of water and any viruses are carried on the droplets. The gaps in the mask are small enough to block the droplets, hence limiting the spread of contagion.

Surgeons don't wear them to protect themselves from viruses. ( But you undoubtedly know this and still run around playing this tired game everywhere. )

Besides -- "surgeons wear them" isn't exactly a compelling talking point for those of us who aren't surgeons. Carano isn't a surgeon. I'm not a surgeon. While we're at it, how many other jobs should I wear the uniform of, despite not actually being in the profession? Should I dress like a deep-sea diver? A sumo wrestler? A guy who works on the deck of an aircraft carrier? Where does it end?

Viruses aren't solely spread through droplets, most respiratory viruses are spread by aerosols. Hence the repeatedly observed inability of masks to do anything to limit the spread of contagion. That's why the most heavily mask-compliant countries saw massive spikes in their virus numbers even when virtually everyone was masked. In one case the mask compliance was near 100% yet at one point there was a one million percent increase in case numbers. One million percent. That's your mask working.

Problem is corporations can use that in other direction. Look at them today with the anti-DEI stuff. While I don't buy that Colbert was fired for political reasons I suspect their has been many people fired by corporations who are worried of offending Trump or for being to woke in recent years.

It is always IMO better to support a individuals civil liberties even if the person is bad person over government and corporate interests. They got enough power as it is with their money and influence. We don't need to be giving them even more power.

What happened to people like Gina Carano was not about her civil liberties, she was not thrown in jail for what she said.

Now, can we get back to not giving a crap what political affiliation Hollywood types are?

As long as the right are bunch dumbasses who are supporting throwing innocent people in concentration camps for no reason, take away women's righ to vote, want to outlaw homosexuality, and things like that, than no we can't. I want to know if the people who are getting possibly getting my money are supporting causes like that, so I can make sure they don't get any of it.
