Seems counter productive to the success of the team. Instead of paying the player now, other players around the league get paid more and raise the cost and then Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb cost you even more, meaning that's several million you don't have for other players. And Jones keeps doing that over and over again.
 
Tyler Huntley signed by the Browns, their fifth active QB, their sixth QB. The other QBs are banged up, he is strictly a camp arm while also hoping to attract the attention of someone from another team.
 
One NFL analyst deems Browns QB Dillon Gabriel "incapable of playing in the NFL" at this time. Add in Pickett and Sanders are dealing with injuries, they aren't as well stocked as they seemed to be a while back.

Probably looking at their starting QB for week one.

I saw another NFL expert saying Gabriel is winning the competition and will be the Browns week one starter. :lol:

A week-and-a-half ago, Slater signed a $114 million extension with $92 million guaranteed. So if this injury ends up being detrimental to the rest of his career, that's some lucky timing there.

Morice Norris has regained feeling in his extremities following a spinal injury sustained during the Lions/Falcons game last night.
Norris was carted of the field and the game suspended.
