Interesting piece of information from Sam at the end there. I hope there's something to look forward to in the not too distant future.

I noticed tonight that the animated LCARS displays on both the FC and INS Enterprise-E bridges have gone static. The blinkies still blink and the animated stuff in the MSD is still doing its thing, but all of the CRT displays on the bridge are frozen.

@Donny @Rekkert hopefully you know who to report this to over at the Archive.

If only this were the 90's and we could send the Okudas down to set to bang on a computer or two with a hammer to fix it.

Yeah it's awesome wandering around in these spaces.

Also, kudos to the modeler who put a ramp for the engineering hull docking port :techman: Very cool seeing it.

I'm stoked I can finally see the weapons and defense station in the ST:IV 1701-A.

A bit disappointed the shield display went away but love these style of okudagrams and my favorite bridge (would have preferred red rails and doors) and definitely like it more than the Star Trek V and even VI bridges.

I just took a stroll around the Rec Deck - utterly blown away!
The Rec Room set was very much designed with style over substance in mind - a massive THREE STOREY structure allegedly on a space in the ship which was barely 1.5 storeys tall. Curiously, the description says "2 storey" but the modellers have correctly included 3 levels of turbolift shaft and that ceiling heigh doesn't lie!
The modellers have made that seemingly impossible ceiling structure work, and work well!
The silly number of exits to side rooms have been tweaked so that they made sense at last (although I'd love to see beyond those doors as well).
Even small details like the floating balconies (complete with double hand rails) are there.

The Rec Room has been one of the most elusive sets over the years but you guys have made it worth waiting for :techman::techman::techman:

A valiant effort to solve the discrepency between the positioning of the outer airlock and the deck inside!
I seem to remember you suggesting the very same solution on your ship building thread - oh so many years ago now!

Loved the interactive experience on the TMP refit. The workbees and shuttles was a nice touch! There Raising the floor and closing the door, etc. Should probably be a way to do that from the top but wasn't seeing one.

We know Donny did a hypothetical Star Trek II rec deck, etc would love to see at least the TMP and turbolift, etc repeated for that

My dream is a full ship 1701-A at ST IV launch config to go from Shuttle Bay. Star Trek V and VI variants reusing some of the refit (perhaps slightly modernized) would have been better than the reuse of TNG sets.

I don't remember a TWOK rec deck. I have his TWOK Officer's Lounge as a video call background and I get comments on it every time I use it.

But where are the windows on either side of the dock? Not that they match between the closeup shot and the ship model anyway.

Yeah, so many years ago! IIRC, it was Andrew Probert who suggested the ramp :)

I've been having the guilty pleasure of triggering the shuttle elevator on the lower level and then running over to it to ride up the next level. Who knew how fun that could be! :D

I'm also happily surprised that engineering retained the corridor in front of it too. So many neat things to check out.
