No New Books for Voyager's 30th Anniversary?

I was really hoping we could get at least one new Voyager book for the show's 30th anniversary this year, but so far I haven't seen anything Voyager related coming from Gallery. Are all of this year's books announced, or is there a chance we could still get something at the end of the year? I haven't seen anything from Insight or Titan either.

There is an IDW comic mini-series coming.

Oh right I forgot about that one, but I was still hoping for prose, in-universe stuff, or non-fiction too.

Yeah, it was on my list of wishes, too, but seems not to be, much like DS9’s 30th anniversary - Revenant came out two years prior to it, and that was the last DS9 novel we’ve gotten, so it’s not surprising to me.

Disappointing, but I’m not too surprised with that example. Maybe we’ll get something special for the 60th of the franchise, though.

I just miss the days when we were getting anthologies or trilogies or e-books for every anniversary. I'm still mad we never got a Enterprise anniversary anthology like we did for all of the other pre-streaming series.

OK, I couldn't remember how early they announced them, so I thought maybe there was a chance we could still have one or two unannounced books at the end of the year.

They're already started to announce 2026 novels, which pretty much rules out the possibility of any more 2025 ones getting announced.

Yeah there's going to be a Picard Novel about Captain Liam Shaw called To Tempt fate by Dayton Ward coming out in February 25 2026

Where did you hear it would be about Shaw? My recent Google searches reveals no plot information about that novel have been made available. And its release is February 17, according to Amazon.

The Star Trek book news was on Youtube from Trek con chill on Youtube one of the hosts an artist who sales her paintings at Star trek conventions was there in the dealers room and she was there when Dayton ward announced it a few weeks ago.

You can find Trek con and chill twice weekly podcast on you tube I'm not good at posting links here you can go back a few weeks and find it yourself if you want to find the info.

When I type "Trek con and chill" into YouTube, it takes me to this Virtual Trek Con account? Is that what you're referring to. If so, could you at least provide the name of the video where this is covered since the matter of copying and pasting a link is apparently too much of a burden?

Yes Virtual trek Con and chill.I don't remember it was 2 months ago I listened to it. They've done alot of videos since the one I saw in May .Kertratz productions talked about it on Youtube in his book news try his Youtube page its mentioned there. Dayton ward mentioned it here in one of the book threads here in trek lit too Look for Star trek books coming out in 2026.Dayton Ward also talks about his novels on X and Bluesky you'll probably have better luck finding out on one Dayton's social media accounts he hangs out to talk to his fans.He also has his own website where he releases news about his newest and Upcoming books.

I've tried to check out a few of those videos from around the correct timeframe, but they're a ridiculous 90 minutes long, so my only real option is to sample a few spots throughout, and I never did find anything discussing Trek Lit. I think the artist in question is Jenny R. Johnson (who may possibly be Canadian? On one video when they were talking about music videos and the other hosts were talking about MTV, she mentioned "We had MuchMusic".), so it should be limited to the episodes she appeared in, but I couldn't find anything by random sampling, and I don't have hours to dedicate to watching full episodes. If nothing else, it reminded me why I'm not a fan of podcasts.

There does not seem to be anything on Dayton's website about it at all.

I'm not trying to claim it isn't true, but it certainly hasn't been widely disseminated, because when I Googled it I was unable to find any corroborating reports.

I'm not sure which Kertrats video might contain the news, but @Kertrats47 is a member here, so maybe he can corroborate?

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Assuming "two months ago" means May, I've run text searches on the transcripts of all that channel's May videos, and Dayton Ward is not mentioned in any of them, while Captain Shaw is only mentioned in one, but it's in reference to Todd Stashwick's guest appearance on Enterprise (he played a Romulan in the fourth season).
