"Masters of the Universe" Film in Development (Again)

I'm not super familiar with He-Man, but it looks like they did a pretty good job with what we can see there.

He-Man is suppose to look like he didn't just take steroids. He took ALL the steroids. This guy looks strong and athletic. LIke a NFL TE as Danja put it. But not He-Man.

This is He-Man as he appeared in the 80s Filmation cartoon. The guy is supposed to be big (Read: "The Most Powerful Man in the Universe").

This is He-Man from the recent Netflix series. He's even bigger than the 80s version.

And, of course, the original action figure:

He-Man is really supposed to be the big muscles type, not athletic.

But, of course, live-action does require compromises. It would have probably required a huge paycheck to get someone like Chris Hemsworth, not to mention difficult to get them to sign on for several movies as Amazon and Mattel should hope for sequels.
And, of course, back in the day Dolph Lundgren was pretty muscular, but since he was also pretty tall, his He-Man had a similar silhouette as this new one.

Their were options. Reacher, Henry Cavill, John Cena.

While Mercy and Project Hail Mary will be released in Turkey and France by Sony, films like Crime 101 and The Sheep Detectives seem likely to skip theaters and go directly to Prime Video. I wouldn't even bother watching them in theaters, but I hope the He-Man movie gets released.

I'm assuming you're referring to the actress Camila Mendes, and not the Archie comics character? And what's so crazy about her being in it? I looked her up and she's still working steady, so it's not like she just popped up in this out of nowhere. or does she not usually do sci-fi or fantasy?

both because of 'that' and probably because it was the first big-budget 'theatre' film.
