We are less than 2 weeks out from the return of Riri Williams aka Iron Heart following her debut in Black Panther Wakanda Forever.

Returning as Riri is Dominique Thorne. Joining her is Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins AKA the Hood and Alden Ehrenriech as Joe McGillicuddy, with Sasha Baron Cohen rumored as Mephisto.

I noticed while collecting these videos that Nerdidiotic and The Critical Failure are already ragging on it, which to me is the equivalent of a positive review! Looking more forward to it now than I was before!

Anyway, I'm excited to see where they take the character and the story that they have to tell with her.

I love both the Technological and the Mystical sides of the MCU, so, as I noted elsewhere, I'm really excited for this. It also doesn't hurt that Riri herself was my third favorite thing about Wakanda Forever (behind Shuri becoming the Black Panther and the introduction of the Talokanil).

I so hope they pull off a good show but everything i've seen so far from Black Panther 2 to the trailers and clips says it's going to be awful.

I'll tune in to see for myself but i have near zero hope it'll be good.

I'm not sold on the character or the actress. But I'll give it a shot.

That's funny, everything that I've seen so far from Black Panther 2, the trailers and the clips tell me that it's going to be great.

I'm really looking forward to this, I like Riri in Wakanda Forever, and so far the trailers have looked great. I'm also a fan of both Anthony Ramos, who was great in In The Heights, and as one of the few people who like Solo, I'm looking forward to seeing Alden Ehrenriech and Ramos in this.

A great look at Riri's unique Ironheart suit:

I love how the suit is built with whatever Riri has available, showing her ability to improvise in a way Tony Stark would be proud of.

Curiously, when the video does the roll call of past Iron Suits, one of the Midnight Angels is shown. A weird inclusion for me since all of the other suits are Stark tech but the Midnight Angels are exclusively Wakandan.

Edited to add:

We have episode titles!

So...

The doomsayers are out in force again insisting that Marvel Studios is trying to bury this project because it's been confirmed to be released in two batches of 3 just over a week apart.

* Sigh*

Not everybody who watches streaming stuff is going to immediately binge all 6 episodes immediately after release, but that fact is an inconvenient truth to the people who are already complaining.

All this tells me is that the three episode drop strategy with Andor was successful.

Watched the trailer and it was kinda.. meh. I'll wait for some reviews and if they say its good I'll take a look.

Honestly, Marvel for me has been kinda middling for awhile.. Captain America was just Ok, Didn't want to pay $15 to see thunderbolts in the theatre.. Nothing really on there slate has me jumping up and down.

Like with them all (except Agatha), I'll watch and see.
I went into Ms Marvel with caution because of all the pre-hate I was hearing, and ended up just totally loving the show and the actress.

This obviously doesn't directly pertain to the show's quality, but it coming out almost 2.5 years after Wakanda Forever is baffling. It should have come out 3-4 months after that movie, tops.

It's bonkers that, to date, the only successful movie/TV interplay was Agents of SHIELD and The Winter Soldier, when Sitwell walked out of the episode "End of the Beginning" on Tuesday, April 1, and appeared on the big screen that Friday, with the following Tuesday's episode "Turn, Turn, Turn" reacting to the movie. And that was 11 years ago, with all the Marvel Studios vs. Marvel TV behind-the-scenes tension.

And, if D+ is going to drop a movie's worth of episodes in one week, it should have those episodes play in movie theaters for a week. I'm almost certainly not going to sign up to D+ for this show, because I've got infinite options to stream at home, but if these two batches were both one-week events, I might just walk down to the theater to see them on the big screen. As it stands, with Andor over, and no more good live-action Star Wars on the horizon, I have no idea when I'll be subscribing to the service again. *Maybe* Wonder Man in December, if the reviews are great, at which point I might also watch this. We'll see.
