I, for one, am curious to see how this concept plays out on Doctor Who. It's definitely something we've never seen before on the show.
Since I've barely seen any Eurovision, I didn't even know that.The rubbish score really should have been "Nul Point"

Apparently this will the most spoilery episode of the season yet, so...beware.
Well, personally, I never thought we'd ever see the Second Doctor sing a song, but here we are!

Oh, I liked that a lot more than I was expecting. Finally we get to see the dark side of the Doctor. So far this has been a great season. Hope it has a better last episode that last years damp squib, but at least we're getting some answers to the set-ups. The story was ok, most of the characters were pretty one dimensional apart from the gay couple who I would be happy to see return. The songs were terrible but that's in keeping with the real contest. I won't mention the spoilers but the first one definitely took me by surprise.
Please excuse my language for a moment or two...

Okay, other then tieing the last episode the May 24, they've tied this episode to Eurovision week. The Powers that Be really must of been working overtime and greasing the wheels to get that to work!
I only wish my knowledge of UK reality show singing contestants was stronger, thus the Rylan cameo would've been more fun (My knowledge tends to be limited to Susan Boyle, Alexandra Burke and Stacey Solomon)
I literally squealed twice to my partner to come watch , but unfortunately he's Old School Who only.

As to the episode, it was camp as tits, yet also really REALLY dark - all at the same time and I loved every second. Of course being a Eurovision junkie, I got all the references. My lord the behind the scenes team went into overtime to get it right.
And also line of the week: Did I just fly through space on a confetti canon?

Another winner! This could be, baring a truly horrid finale, the most consistent season in the show's recent history since twenty years ago.
It was rocking on 44 mins and I was thinking spoiler king Andrew had slipped up a bit, but here we are.
The story was quite good to a point, but after the 6th mention of mavity I was developing a nervous tic. I think I understand what it was all alluding to, and I appreciate what was trying to be done.
The Doctor's visions were pretty surprising to say the least.

Basically, a really great episode that shows the Doctor at his fullest, with Ncuti actually expanding on his darker tones that he first showed in Boom and really being overally unsettlingly and disturbingly dark. But, the story itself is surprisingly nuanced, despite the overeach of the villains (it does seem a bit odd that two kids on their own would be able to do this kind of colossal damage in such a short amount of time) but anywho, it resonated to me, cause it doesn't pander to the villains (obviously) but it also doesn't do the fatal mistake of conflating the Doctor and co's survival with the prosperity of the Corporation, who exploited the planet of the said villains.

Also, watching the "reaction" video from Mr. Tardis, he seemed really miffed about the "mid credit" reveal scene.I get the impression he wagered several pounds it would NOT be that, and thus lost some money. I mean, his reaction seemed rather personal.

I’m not a Eurovision fan but that was a lot of fun. I have managed to avoid spoilers so far and so was quite taken aback by who we saw a few times during the episode and particularly so by what happened during the credits.

I'm guessing the "Dimensions in Time", the 30th anniversary special, and the last time we saw onscreen the two major reveals until now
Ah...now I understand.
Final song echoing Eurovision's history with nations that are being oppressed. Ukraine in recent years springs to mind.
