When exactly did Jadzia Dax reject Julian Bashir (since her first words to him here definitely not rejection)? Also, first interaction between Bashir

I heard some people not liking the ideas of some couples that are only Canon in Alternate timeline and saying that, if they are nor prime timeline they are nor canon. I cannot remember where.

That makes no sense.

Canon is essentially anything shown onscreen. If a couple from an alternate timeline is shown on screen, they're canon, they're just not from the Primeline.

It's canon per "Fissure Quest" that there's a HoloBashir and a Doctor Garak from alternate timelines who are a married couple. They're not from the Primeline, but that doesn't mean they're not canon.

Whether this implies anything about Primelline Bashir and Garak is a matter of viewer interpretation.

Well, I personally agree with you.

My head canon for the actual pair was that Garak was definitely interested in Bashir, but Bashir's romantic preference was exclusively for women. Having a crush on someone who has exactly zero romantic feelings for you is a pretty normal experience.

Though I will say that the podcast done by Alexander Siddig and Andrew Robinson provided a convincing explanation of why that was different later on.

Indeed. And why not? As I said, wanting what you can't have is part of life. As is dealing with the feelings that result. Garak handles it well, while Bashir has some trouble taking the hint. Luckily, Jadzia was a horny young man several times, so she's mainly just amused.

And Bashir didn't went that far as some Vulcan men in Star Trek.

But itmakesme wonder, what would happen if Bashir was more like Season 7 Bashir when he met Jadzia and/or "did notcome that strong".

Ezri to Julian in Afterimage:

"You can be very charming. You want to know something? If Worf hadn't come along, it would have been you."

Assuming she was telling the truth of course.
