Some of the cool things about the original film in a long list of cool things were the ceilings. They helped to make it seem real.
I'm pretty sure Boyega has been understandably critical of how Finn was handled, but I wonder if he'd be willing to come back if he knew the character was going to be handled better this time.
When did Kathleen Kennedy say she was leaving at the end of the year? The last things I read in interviews with her was that she wasn't planning on going anywhere in the near future.

Her contract runs out at the end of year and even when she talked about not stepping down, sh was talking about eventual replacements. I mean everyone made a big deal about how she owned the fans or something when in reality nothing had changed except now she said she would continue to work as opposed to retiring.
Someday—like everyone who lives long enough—Kennedy will retire, and the bros will say, "See, I told ya so!"

Since Disney owns 20th Century Fox and the latter produced the Alien Nation franchise, looks like a fun little Easter Egg was thrown into one of last week's episodes of Andor or the Tenctonese/Newcomers are now also a canon species in the Star Wars galaxy. 
Because it makes more sense than them once again giving her another long term contract, especially now that Star Wars is failing to get people to watch what is being made under her leadership. Granted logical sort of goes out the window in this issue because almost anyone else in her position would have been fired years ago with her job performance. People joke but I am really starting to think that she actually does know lots of secrets that certain people don't want revealed and thus she has been able to leverage that into making lots of money off of SW.
Yep. Same with when Alex Kurtzman eventually does leave Star Trek.
Except people are still watching Star Wars under her leadership, The Acolyte was the second most viewed Disney+ show of 2024 after all. That this can also be considered a failure has nothing to do with Kennedy's leadership.
O Rly? Of the Star Wars productions released during her tenure, the only ones that can be considered commercial failures are Solo and The Acolyte. When compared to how much Star Wars content has been released over the past decade, only two actual commercial failures is a pretty good ration. Nobody gets fired over that kind of job performance.
I hope she does own fans because as a great man once said "it's gettin hot in here".

SW used to be the number 1 science fiction brand of them all, even though Trek of course was always better. Now it's a afterthought. THE MCU surpassed it despite Kurtzman criticism Trek has been doing much better than SW. We have SNW,STAR TREK:ORVILLE,Picard season 3, Lower Decks,Prodigy and maybe the Academy show will be good. Plus the Kelvinverse movies were better than the Sequel trilogy SW movies by a mile.
But The Acolyte got cancelled. Plus it wasn't well received critically. I think the one that might have did her in though was The Skeleton Crew. That in theory should have been traditional enough to be a bigger success. It was well received yet nobody still watched. We are also talking about SW. It should be bigger than putting out a few modest tv hits from time to time.

Fuck sakes, if you're going to insist on that silly and worn out joke at least use it logically. Kurtzman has absolutely no involvement with The Orville at all. So even if you want to lump it in as Star Trek (and at this point I've given in that you're going to no matter what) to say it has "succeeded despite Kurtzman" makes absolutely no sense at all. That's as nonsensical as saying something like "despite JJ Abrams criticism, John Wick was a successful film."
At least the sequel trilogy didn't recast Lando as a white dude.
I feel as if these are things that can be said in any reply to a Jayson post.
