That's not the type of show that the Trek Production Crews wants to make.
They want to make a show about StarFleet or StarFleet adjacent.
The premise isn't all that interesting for a purely Scientific Crew.

I actually moved on. Trying to figure out what @Kamen Rider Blade thinks Star Trek actually is? Why he wants to change things yet seems to be afraid to change things.
A Trek show without Starfleet and more about interesting characters and science would be a good thing, from my POV.

Trek is whatever the producers say it is at any given moment. If that aligns with our personal worldview then it's how we'd make Star Trek. If not, then, well you get the last 50 pages of this thread.
