That's also objectively incorrect. A flight attendants primary purposes is to... serve the passengers and generally run the cabin. An additional duty they have when the need arises is to get passengers off the plane in emergencies, which if/when that occurs, BECOMES their primary duty for the duration of the emergency.

It is objectively correct. The law says (in the USA anyway, I'd imagine it's similar in other countries) that you have to have flight attendants for the safety of the passengers. There is no law that says they have to serve the passengers.

I like to think of the enterprise D and the galaxy class as propaganda ships.

With peace with the Klingons, Romulans in hiding and unpopular war with the cardiassians going on, Starfleet needed to show it relevance to the smug self satisfied core worlds. So it tried a fake rebranding of itself and the Galaxy class was commissioned to show a fluffy "benevolent" side and the flag ship was given to one of its most deluded captains.
