Spoilers The Controversial Star Wars Opinion Thread

Andor is so dreadfully dull and boring. I have tried several times to watch it. Fallen asleep several times. Mind you, i felt the same during Ahsoka and Book of Boba Fett.

I don't mind slow pacing, i love old movies, and hell the first few seasons of DS9 before the Dominion show up are slow paced , but Andor is sooooooo sloooooooow
I loved every minute of Ahsoka and Acolyte. Book of Boba Fett was great from episode 5 I think it was, whenever the Tusken flashbacks ended now they were boring. Mandalorian season 1 I didnt like apart from the finale and then season 2 onwards was great apart from that one episode all about the ex-Imperials. I also hated Bad Batch but have high hopes Shadow Lord will be a return to Rebels level greatness. Kenobi was good if maybe a little forgettable and they did the Grand Inquisitor very poorly.

DS9's lonely distant outpost seasons are carried by charismatic actors. Good acting can make a slow pace very compelling.

I don't really have the ability to look at things objectively, my brain does not work that way. If I like something, it is brilliant. If I do not like something I just can't put myself in someone else's shoes and work out why. Faulty wiring upstairs clearly.

I would say overall that the Disney plus has been a success as the majority of projects satisfy me as a fan.

I was generally into the flashbacks, except for two things: the druggy stuff felt a little out of place, and the ripoffs of Lawrence of Arabia were far too blatant.

I love that episode.

The shows are actually pulling in decent numbers, it's just that they're setting things up to need such massive numbers that it's hard to actually match them. If you look when people post the top streaming series when a one of the Star Wars series is coming out they're usually on there.
Indeed, and it should be noted The Acolyte was actually the second most viewed show on Disney+ last year. The fact that such a show can also be considered a failure only proves the streaming model itself is what's broke.

Been seeing this term "kek" a lot lately, particularly as it applies to Star Wars. Forgive my vacuousness in this context, but WTF is a "kek"?

It could prove other things, though, the number one alternative being that Disney simply spent too much money making it. I have no doubt* that, had they spent sufficiently less money,

a) they could have still produced something similar, and
b) the numbers would have justified renewal for a second season.

* - no doubts about my unprovable propositions, (a) & (b) ;)

Me, too.

I don’t watch Andor for “fun.” I watch for compelling, thoughtful, intelligent entertainment. I was not disappointed last week.
I watch Andor for the same reason I watch any program: to enrich my life in some way or another. That could be for "compelling, thoughtful, intelligent entertainment." Andor provides that. Or, it could be to have "fun." Not every aspect of Andor caters to enriching my intellect; some of it's just cool, and *gasp* fun to watch.

Cope and seethe.

Judging by what I see most already have KEK.

You have been warned, figuratively, that your intent behind this phraseology is that of trolling or worse, a dogwhistle. I admit up to this point, StarTrek1701, you have escaped my notice. That time is at an end.

Woe. Woe, StarTrek1701, for you have been noticed. The bell draws back, ready to toll.

Will it toll for thee?
