I like Bob's Burgers quite a bit. Some seasons are better than others, but overall it's a pretty decent adult animation show. The jokes are mostly contained to character interactions instead of leaning on things like pop culture references and current events. Winking at the audience is pretty rare.

I'm not totally against those things, but I like there being an animated show that breaks from that model.

Amazon has cancelled Almost Paradise. That being said, this is not the first time (first time was WGN America), it has been cancelled and Dean Devlin hopes it will be saved/revived elsewhere. Evidently, the cancellation was part of what went down when Amazon ended their Freevee service.

I liked both of those shows too.

At least Mythic Quest will get a proper ending. Based on a True Story ended on a massive cliffhanger.

I hate it when that happens.

It's like all of these streaming services like to invest in content just to say they have lots, but then don't advertise them properly to let them develop an audience, let them get buried and then cancel them first chance they get.

It did. I just kind of wish they didn't get kicked so deeply in the junk every week.

Every episode of the first half of season one was life or death, but it also spent too much time on Young and Telford and Young's wife. I think it stumbled out of the gate, culminating in the odd choice of Young deserting Rush. It had turned around after that and into season two, but by then, the ship had sailed.

It also suffered because, at the time, fans were stung that Atlantis was cancelled and Universe came in in their spot. I don't have concrete evidence of this, but I remember reading that people were staying away from Universe over that. Atlantis was the weakest, especially in its later seasons when they pulled a Voyager and got communication to back home.

Yes, those two seasons did have more Earth centered episodes than the previous ones, but that was due to SG-1 had ended, therefore Atlantis needed to do more Earth episodes in order to justify the expense of keeping the SGC sets standing.
