Sony Spider-Verse discussion thread

Andrew Robinson is gonna be in Spider-Noir!

Oh, hell yeah!

I didn't know Brendan Gleeson and Jack Huston are also part of the cast, along with a few other familiar character actors.

I've never been a fan of Nicholas Cage but I loved Spider-Noir. My interest in the show continues to increase.

I finally saw Venom 3. One corner of my mouth quirked briefly into a smile once or twice but beyond that all I can say is that it's quite a feat to have a trilogy so bad that it's hard to decide which one is the worst film.

Oh I didn't even bother with Venom. Doesn't interest me at all. Speaking of movies about Spidey Villains, I have Kraven to watch, but I'm not even sure I care enough.

I haven't watched any of the six non-Spidey Sony films and I probably never will. Short of an alcoholic-induced MST3K viewing with like-minded individuals. Otherwise, there are far better films that I need to watch first.

Eh, dunno. I was more entertained with all three of these flicks, than I was with the first Joker-Movie. I bought the second one, hopefully that one is better than the first one.

I saw the first Venom movie in the theater and was entertained enough, but I wasn't invested enough in the story to bother with the sequels.

I personally wouldn't compare them, but for the record I didn't like Joker either.

Beyond the Spider-Verse is back on the calendar: June 4...2027.

Woof.

Hopefully that's more than enough time to do all of the crazy animation in a healthy, normal work environment and done right.

From io9:

The news was revealed at the end of a teaser trailer shown at CinemaCon 2025. Pulling back through a wild array of colors and shapes like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey, we see images and hear words from the previous two films. Near the end, a few quick images from the new film played, including Miles fighting the Prowler, the Spot, and entering a completely black area through a yellow hole.
Producer Phil Lord, and directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson said that Beyond will be bigger and bolder than the first two films. It’ll feature new styles and innovations and pick up the next second from the end of the previous film.
