It seems like you're starting from the position that Star Wars and its CEO are doing just fine, and throwing defenses at the wall like spaghetti to justify Disney not making any changes. Which, if that's your opinion, that's perfectly okay, and I won't debate you on it. I'm just pointing out that for those who don't like the way things are going, it's perfectly rational to hope for changes, even it that process incurs a bit of short-term pain, and even if it doesn't ultimately produce the hoped-for result.

By saying you "don't understand" that thought process, you're seemingly either making a near-zero effort to understand it, or you're using a dishonest rhetorical trick to imply that it's so irrational, no right-minded person would adopt it.

I don't know what difference it will make and I certainly don't wish for anyone losing their job.

Yes, I am happy with the way things are right, but even if I wasn't I wouldn't want to see Kennedy or whoever was in charge fired, and I definitely wouldn't want to see the shows or movies bomb, I would want to see the movies and shows succeed, and I would want to see her find a way to do a better job.
And I honestly, don't understand how someone could want to see something they love fail. When I'm not happy with how something is going, I want it to get better, not continue to be bad or get worse.

Yeah, you've made it clear you're not willing to consider others' perspectives as having any validity or rationality whatsoever. It's called being closed-minded and solipsistic, and it's the attitude that led Darth Vader to say "If you're not with me, you're my enemy!" Enjoy, I guess. :shrug:

No, no, no, no, that is not what I meant at all. It's not that I'm not willing to consider it, there no way I could consider it because I literally don't understand it. I guess it's just so different from the way I think that my brain just can't process it.

I suppose I'd better post this before the usual bunch of gobshites feel the need to engage in the usual tired histrionics: -
According to Puck, Kathleen Kennedy to Step Down at Lucasfilm

Supposedly she had planned to retire last year, but opted to stay on until the end of this year (one assumes to make sure the current crop of incoming projects are in as much order as they can be before she leaves.) The timing seems appropriate enough given it'll mark the 10 year anniversary of TFA's release, and provide a clean start to whomever is replacing her (Lynwen Brennan seems like the natural choice, though they may bring in an outsider.)

Side note: Since I know someone is bound to suggest it: No, Dave Filloni should absolutely not replace her. He's already the Chief Creative Officer, and that's the best possible job for him at the company. Making him the President of the company would just mean wasting his time with a lot of nuts and bolts business meetings, and miscellaneous nonsense best done by someone that actually comes from the world of producing and management.

That's what they want you to think! They clearly made this decision after reading my posts awhile back, saying they needed new leadership. The evidence is overwhelming! Anyways I think they need to go outside of Disney and it needs to be a big name that brings in already accrued respect and trust from the would be fans.
 
I think they need to remember that they already have a chief creative officer and hire someone who can run the business of Star Wars.
