It needs to get to 425 mil I believe to break even. It might take a couple more weeks.

The Dark World isn't even the best movie about the events of The Dark

I don't know about "The Dark World" being the best Thor movie. But it's my favorite one. I had hopes "Ragnarok" would be my favorite, but I had ended up being slightly disappointed by it.

This is based off of incomplete data from Friday, no data from Saturday and nothing from Sunday.

IE, it's erroneous

It's taken about $300 million - just walk us through how thst is a breakeven figure for disney on a budget of $180 million?
As far as I know, Disney spends $100 million on marketing costs for all of its big budget movies. They may have spent $280 million on this movie in total. That means it needs to make $600 million at the box office. In order to make a profit. But places like THR, Deadline and Variety never write about these things because companies like Disney like to advertise them as successes. Some movies that recover production costs but can't recover marketing costs, still advertise them as successes.

It cost 180m to make, and the marketing budget was nowhere nearly 100m meaning it's already passed the 280m it would need.

No it hasnt. It needs to get over 400 mil to break even. The 180 million is what it cost to film the movie not marketing and other cists.

The marketing and other costs were minimal, so less than 100 million easily. Meaning it already made it all back.
