That Map is very inaccurate to other maps we've seen.
And yet somehow the executives okayed all the spending that went into this.
Including Michelle Yeoh's 12m dollar paycheck.
No streaming service is in a position to experiment except for Apple TV (with Foundation) and Amazon (with Rings of Power) because their main revenue is something other than entertainment (the iphone etc. sales for Apple and the mailed purchases for Amazon). Even Disney had to cancel Star Wars: The Acolyte because of streaming losses.Paramount plus is not making any money. TV movies like section 31 still cost money. Paramount plus is not in the financial position to experiment especially with what is arguably their number one property. So if they swing the bat they need to make a hit. This movie was a complete miss.

Been that way for a while. That's why they're being sold.Paramount must be desperate.
Paramount must be desperate.
Indeed. Risk is even a part of the game.Star Trek can and should still take chances. It's one of the reasons why I love Strange New Worlds. A stagnant franchise is a dying franchise. Yes, not every big swing is gonna hit, but you still need to keep playing the game.
If Paramount Plus were to close and license all Star Trek TV shows to Netflix, there would be enough viewers on Netflix to keep those TV shows going. I think it's quite possible that Paramount Plus would be closed and the new Star Trek TV shows would be sold to Netflix.Yeah its insane that they green lit this and the cost. If the starfleet academy series set in the 32nd century that no one asked for fails I think we can confident they will be winding down all star trek content for a while after snw ends its run.
Thats the best Paramount could do.I think we can confident they will be winding down all star trek content for a while after snw ends its run.
Good.fails I think we can confident they will be winding down all star trek content for a while after snw ends its run.
Yeah, no. A series is lucky to 2 seasons on Netflix. Anything beyond 3 is exceedingly rare.If Paramount Plus were to close and license all Star Trek TV shows to Netflix, there would be enough viewers on Netflix to keep those TV shows going. Thanks but no thanks. Some of us are still finding enjoyment in the franchise.Thats the best Paramount could do.
If that were true, we'd have heard about Prodigy season 3 already. Clearly, not enough people watched. If Paramount Plus were to close and license all Star Trek TV shows to Netflix, there would be enough viewers on Netflix to keep those TV shows going. Netflix had only acquired the rights to broadcast 2 seasons of that series. It had also been broadcast in certain countries, in most countries, on other platforms and TV channels. In other words, if they had the rights to produce a sequel and acquired the rights to broadcast all over the world, I'm sure a 3rd season would have been approved. If that were true, we'd have heard about Prodigy season 3 already. I'm sure if Netflix bought it, it would be watched more. Even if Netflix didn't exist, Amazon and Apple could also buy it and continue it, they cancel fewer TV series after all. Even if Netflix didn't exist, Amazon or Apple could be good. Especially Amazon.Yeah, no. A series is lucky to 2 seasons on Netflix. Anything beyond 3 is exceedingly rare.

I don't think they have a problem with that franchise. They don't care about those franchises directly, and if Amazon had bought the Star Trek broadcasting rights. The perspective of Star Trek would be the same with the TV shows they made with Paramount Television Network, such as Jack Ryan and Reacher (which CBS Studios will now make starting with the 4th season) and the TV series they made with Sony, such as The Boys and Gen V. In other words, they would continue as long as they are watched, maybe they would continue for 3 seasons, maybe 4 seasons, maybe 5 seasons.Stargate revival off the ground.
