I'd rather watch 31 more Section 31 movies than another season of Strange New Worlds if it's going to continue to drift into pure fantasy.
You say this, but the results could be disastrous.
I think I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that a Star Trek movie ended on a line about "Yo mama".

..."Whatevs", "You're a bad bitch", "I love that for us". Give me strength.
I really thought there might be more around the end of the movie, but no, it was just that. It's like 'Dang, I now know what those CriticalDrinker types hear whenever they see something'. Just so surreal.

The other thing the movie is absolutely shit at explaining is what does the Godsend explosion actually do at the end? Did it only close the portal? Did it go through the portal and take out part of the Milky Way in the Mirror Universe while closing the portal?
The map they kindly showed us at the beginning put the action very close to Cardassian space and the Badlands. So anything close to the territory in the Mirror universe as seen in DS9 had legacy canon plot armor. But, if it did go off in Georgiou and San's home universe...

Well I didn’t think it was the worst thing ever, it was just pretty flat and cliched.

Michelle Yeoh gave it a go, but the script didn’t give her much to work with.

I don’t think a spy caper/heist movie set in the Star Trek universe is a bad idea, but this wasn’t really it. I think overall, better to do it as a movie rather than a miniseries.

So I guess overall it’s a shrug of the shoulders from me. I doubt we’ll be seeing more of these characters, which is a bit of a shame in the case of Garrett.

50 of the current 160 votes are a 2 or even a 1.

This may be the worst reviewed filmed Trek content in the history of the board with the possible exception of "TATV...(ENT)." It's very, very rare when the bottom third or even fifth of the grading scale is that lopsided.

Never get a hit if you don’t swing the bat.

Paramount plus is not making any money. TV movies like section 31 still cost money. Paramount plus is not in the financial position to experiment especially with what is arguably their number one property. So if they swing the bat they need to make a hit. This movie was a complete miss.

At the least this spy movie didn't do any lasting harm to beloved franchise characters. The first Mission Impossible film is infamous for what it did to Jim Phelps, causing even Peter Graves and other original cast to be shocked.
It earns a point or two just for staying in its lane.

If they make a serie of this garbage it will be made for the brain dead. Producer has to sent to the mirror univers an even that is to good for him or hear i even don't want to know who created this garbage.

I still find it to be a good movie with an interesting mystery element to it and better than the 2nd one and others which pretty much just plaid the regular action movie outline.

That Map is very inaccurate to other maps we've seen.

And yet somehow the executives okayed all the spending that went into this.

Including Michelle Yeoh's 12m dollar paycheck.
