OK, this is crazy. Here's some concept art from Kraven for an unused sequence. I have to assume it was going to be the mid/post credits scene.

From the sounds of it they started from scratch on the movie. They announced new directors only a few months back. So much for seeing this in summer 2024.

If you believe what's been said, it isn't that they announced NEW directors, it's that they only just now announced the directors who had been helming the film all along.

That could be true too. But considering that the movie seems to be now years away, no dialogue recorded for it, rumors last year that the film was scrapped and they were starting from scratch, plus the original release date of 2024... Weren't they working on two movies back to back which was why they were being released one year apart?
 
I can't imagine they'd have a lot of freedom to change it drastically since it's going to need to continue the story from Across the Spider-Verse.

Apart from where it starts you could pretty much change everything if you wanted to.
