I thought that folks here might get a kick out of it.

That is a great start. I kinda question the logic of flying right at the Doomsday Machine without getting tractored by it though Looking forward to seeing how far you go with your animation!

Yeah, in blender that part is actually done with a dollyzoom, so the ship is still fairly far away, even if it doesn't look like it.

The real question is what was the Akira's captain doing to get caught by surprise in the middle of open space? (I may go back and add a station into the background, just so that they don't look like complete amateurs).

It took me awhile, but I finally finished my first little blender fan movie.

Still no sound, but I think it's pretty fun.
