Can I have one of those cylon bodies. Done with Christmas shopping today. Just need to buy some alcohol (for me and as a present for a family member), prawns and other stuff. Now need a cool drink - as I don't plan on moving from my desk for the next few hours. Washing can wait until tomorrow morning.
Oh christmas shopping in the city is madness here....... People just are either blind or stupid, or both...... Take your fucking head off your phone and look where the fuck you are walking, simple thing folks really....... Yesterday was like this in the city
I was in the west of Melbourne at one of the big shopping centres, and then got some stuff at Big W, near where I live in Melbourne. Been ages since I went into the city to shopping. I first online to see prices to avoid people and get what I want quickly.

You won't believe how thankful I am that we have online shopping as an option these days.

I guess I was lucky in that most of the places I used went with alternate carriers for the duration, but yeah, we still had a couple things that got stuck due to the strike.
Yeah. Not sure when exactly the stuff is supposed to arrive, but my mum and stepdad said some of the Christmas stuff was probably gonna come in January. :/
Ah, the memories of when I thought typing would be the most infuriating, punch-computer-tempting, mind-numbing thing I would do in compsci.
Feels like my knee is feeling a little better this morning. Going to rub more cream into my knee later on.
I really hated that but took to it quickly, most of the class was goofing off once I had got touch typing down. Our class had like me and one other guy, the rest of the class were girls..
Got something similar - Nurofen Gel. Works good.
Lots of places are, big all inclusive hotels for one, people complain about food poisoning but its more likely to come from a guest, all handling same spoons etc when at the buffet, poor individual hygiene with some guests and don't get me started on the swim up bar where people seem to magically sit in the pool drinking for hours without having to go to the toilet once..
OMG definitely. Hotels are much worse. Speaking from experience
I don't even know anyone in mine.
At least the teacher lets us listen to headphones music while we work. So I can just casually be typing an article about rainforest trees or how erasers are made or how magnets work (heh) or the history of paper fans or something while listening to shit like this or this and neither my compsci teacher nor these random kids in the class will be anything the wiser
Unfortunately, the typing part of compsci is long done. I now have to make digital 3D models. The software we make the 3D models in is hellish to use, I have 39 3D models to make, and my eyes always start to hurt after a while.
I did not even want to take compsci.
I don't even know anyone in mine.

In our class I meant most of us goofed off by about the 2nd month of it because most of us were typing really well and didn't have to look at the keys. The time was spent usually just talking quietly amongst ourselves.
