This week's contest is devoted to Christmas programming: any movie, TV show, cartoon, and/or special with a Christmas theme. In light of the holidays, any Christmas themed entry will work, fantasy or not. You may enter up to 3. Standard av rules apply: 200 x 200 pixels max, 1 MB max and keep it Google/work safe.

I will put the poll up on the 21st or thereabouts.

To get us started, here's mine:

Just out of interest, how do people make gifs of movie/TV clips? I've always wanted to do it but always get slightly confused whenever I Google how to do it

You need the right software that can covert video--GIMP, Adobe Express, Vimeo. I don't have any of those, so all I can do is Google gifs and crop & reduce file size to make them into avs.

If it's a Youtube video, you can go to:

imgflip.com/gif-maker (if you change it to 30 frames per second for better quality, you'll have to keep it short)

Then you can edit it as needed at ezgif.com (which also has features to help bring the file size down to 1MB, such as: color dithering, color reduction, Optimizer -- you have to experiment)

Sometiems it means having to reduce the sixe or width and making it smaller than 200 by 200 px.
