Ready Room with Will Wheaton-- Lower Decks edition

A ready room for episode 10 cropped up on YouTube here in the U.K., normally such a massive pain to watch them I don’t bother

Some amazing things I didn’t realise - Ransom is married to Una and was in a film with Wil Wheaton back in 1986 for example.

Apparently this will be the last episode of The Ready Room in its current incarnation.

That makes three series finales in 2024 for the franchise…
Is there a reason why they wouldn't want to do it for Section 31 and Strange New Worlds???

Is Wil Wheaton really that expensive?

It is strange that they don't want to continue The Ready Room, even in a truncated form, a few times a season. I'm sure Wil is not that expensive. He likes doing Trek stuff. I've a feeling P+ isn't going to be around in its present form much longer.

Paramount cites the Paramount+ original series Knuckles, along with other content available on its service, such as Mayor of Kingstown, The Chi, and UEFA Champions League, among the reasons for Paramount+'s profit success. The Knuckles broke the global record for the most-streamed original series on Paramount+, while the latest season of The Chi was the most-streamed in the series to date.
Somewhat concerning is the complete lack of mentioning Star Trek as a reason for finally turning a profit coupled with the cancellation of most of the newer series within the last year. Trek being one of the tent pole shows that launched P+ it is also one of the most expensive to produce.

After being in the camp of keeping it to try to help make it proftable, I think after Prodigy, Disco, LD,,and Ready Room all getting cancelled, I am ready to give Paramount+ a taste of their own medicine.

All I see is speculation that its canceled based on WW's farewell at the conclusion of LD.
No official notice, no industry rumors, just wild speculation based on 30 seconds of dialog.

It was confirmed by one of the producers in the original Trekcore article... which seems to have been later edited to remove the comments.

Ah ok.
