What's with Jameis Winston and pick sixes?

Who's another QB known for putting up monster numbers but makes too many mistakes to win?
Self-sabotage, thy name is Jameis. Winston has always been an interception machine along with being an all-around weirdo. He has a reckless streak that would make Brett Favre cringe. If the opposing team isn't racking up interceptions against him, it's their own fault.

I prefer the QB's who chuck it, compared to those constantly throwing bubble screens five yards behind the line of scrimmage, to be honest.

"Your lack of sportsmanship and respect for the game of football and all those who play, coach, and enjoy watching it, is troubling and does not reflect the core values of the NFL … Your continued disregard for NFL playing rules puts the health and safety of both you and your opponents in jeopardy and will not be tolerated.”

This obviously won't undo the harm caused to Lawrence, but it's good to know that the NFL recognizes what Jaguars fans (and really, the rest of the AFC South) has been saying over the last few days: That Sunday's dirty hit was just the latest in a long line of them from Al-Shaair, and that players would continue to get hurt unless someone dropped the hammer. It's not often that the league publicly reprimands not just a specific action but a player's on-field character like this; the fact that Runyan did so means that Al-Shaair has been on the NFL's radar for a long time, long enough to call his sportsmanship and respect for the game into question.

It didn’t help that the Browns couldn’t run the ball at all last night, so Winston had to throw it 159 times.

He did have 497 yards and 4 TDs.

The latest team to lose their kicker for a few weeks is the Bengals. And the guy they picked up off the street will be the latest kicker to perform better than Justin Tucker.

Ravens suspend WR Diontae Johnson for one game because he refused to go into the Eagles game to play. What?!?!?!?!

Well, in that same press conference on Monday, he also said the opposing team was the one to blame for the fight on the field and that his team was only trying to protect Al-Shaair from injury.
Wow... What alternate universe is that guy living in? I mean, I get towing the party line for their teammates but that's just an obtuse denial of reality. Anyone who watched the scrum knows that's patently false.

Bad mojo for the Texans and all the brouhaha from the dirty Trevor Lawrence hit, and they deserve it. Dumbass reaction from the Texans regarding the illegal hit. Hate to see all this, but you can't excuse and try to talk away these types of things. The Texans are playing very undisciplined football right now, and if they make the playoffs they'll be one and done. At least the Rockets are starting out good this year, for a change.

Yep. 100%.

Good sportsmanship starts at the top. If the front office can't even deliver a decent message on that, the fault lies with the entire system, not just one or two idiots.
