How Disney/Lucasfilm could bring Indiana Jones back

You would have to ask Lucas or do further research to see which ones Lucas was inspired by. I know Flash Gordon was the biggest inspiration behind Star Wars and the only reason we got Star Wars was because Lucas could not adapt Flash Gordon.

I have not spent as much time researching Indiana Jones as I have Star Wars.

So, I'm afraid you'll have to research to find out the answers.
I don't care. Which ones were YOU referencing? You said you want to see a new movie based on old serials. Which ones?

Do you watch serials?
I used to. They were part of the Creature Features program I watched as a kid. They also pop up on Rifftrax and MST3k. Nimoy had a role as a Martian in one that came out in the 50s. Which is good for a chuckle. Indy's constant escapes are an homage to the cliffhangers. Imagine if just as Indy was about to die, the film ended and you had to go back next week to see how he survived.

From time to time.

I don't watch as many movies nowadays.
I've honestly never watched one. As a child of the 90's, what's the appeal?

Creature Features, I love that sub-genre of horror movies. :D
I wouldn't be back next week.

OK, whatever, point is, something cannot be alive and dead at the same time. Just go ask any doctor.
Schrödinger's Cat is a thought experiment devised by the Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger, which he designed to illustrate a paradox of quantum superposition wherein a hypothetical cat may be considered both alive and dead simultaneously because its fate is linked to a random event that may (or may not) occur.

First, it's a terrible thought experiment. Second, a cat cannot be alive and dead simultaneously, that's not how biology works. Third, this is all just speculation. What's any of this got to do with quantum physics?
Schrodinger was a doctor.
Cool, then he should know that a cat cannot be alive and dead at the same time.

Movies were like a nickle. You go and see the feature, a cartoon and a chapter of the serial.
Radio shows did serials too. TV wasn't really a thing.
What I'm saying is, I would not have liked serials back then, because of the constant cliffhangers. It's why I didn't like cliffhangers as a kid, unless it was just a 2 or 3-parter. Today, I don't mind, because you can watch episodes / movies close together.
And yet, he told the world otherwise.
Which is a lie.
