TMP DE: Is this a goof?

The dullness factor is subjective, but I really don't see how being geographically accurate would be more costly.

Well, yes and no. If you're doing an action scene and you want to go from exciting chase down Hill A before going onto Freeway B, you're more concerned with making the chase exciting than making sure the streets actually connect.

And even if you do get it all geographically correct, during editing, that'll go right out the window if rearranging the shots will help the scene.

Bravo! Bravo! How true... Movies would cost 20-40% more to film and be twice as dull if they had to strictly adhere to every accurate detail.

3 words for ya... It... is... Hollywood.
Hence the dollar is their god, not accuracy of minutae. One of the lessons I learned the hard way.

A valid point, but it doesn't address the assertion that its more costly to be geographically correct. I understand that it can be better drama, but I don't see how cost comes into it at all.
