Playmates Toys

It's cool that DST/AA fans can add to their collections, but I'm not convinced how economically viable this line is, but I guess releasing more Kirks and Spocks isn't really viable either, lol
Yeah I would've thought at this point figures like Pike/Spock/Una from SNW and Shaw/Seven from Picard would be the future of any Trek toyline.

Nacelle doesn't have the rights to the new shows.

I'm not sure who has?

Playmates did do Saru and Burnham at least. They planned Pike and Spock in the aborted second wave.

It might be viable if these figures are sold at a high price point.
Yeah, i guess the question is how high will people tolerate for a line where the majority are relatively minor characters?

Paramount doesn't seem to do exclusive licenses so I think Nacelle could have snagged rights for the new shows, particularly for the DST/AA size, but maybe they were just too expensive.

Brian from Nacelle has said that someone else has the licence, suggesting it wasn't available.

Maybe they will acquire it in the future.

It is kinda funny that the first figure from Voyager in the AA/DST scale is Tuvix.

I would buy another version of one of the “regulars” if it looked good, was unique, etc… even if it’s a double of something that Playmates did. But the longer they are able to avoid them and keep the line viable the better.

I would guess Playmates still has the license for nu-Trek even if they don’t plan on producing any figures. It could just be a matter of waiting for the deal they made to expire.

New flea market treasures - I love how accurate most of the PM figures are

I saw him loose without choking hazards a few times, but that is one of the figures who really 'need' their tools, like his staff and the latinum, which even is gold and not green orange purple :D
Dathon also kinda needs his dagger at least, even if it's bright red, cause otherwise the front sheath is empty.

Yeah his sceptre is key to the character really - fortunately the original Quark figure came with a spare!

I think the foot numbers were just totally random. I wouldnt put any stock in them for value or rarity.

Yes, I can't say the foot number has ever had any impact on value as far as I know.

Possibly very low numbers (below 100?) might have curiosity value to someone. Probably more so for exclusives like the 1701 figures.

I think the lowest I have is around 900 - from memory it's the Target exclusive Riker in the First Contact/Insurrection uniform.
