MLB 2024: Baseball is for Everyone (subject to local blackout restrictions)

Ohtani is the inaugural member of the 50-50 Club.

Not just that but that single day might have been the best day any MLB player has had. 6-6, 3 HR, 10 RBIs. I appreciated the Marlins knowing the moment and not walking him.

Another non-playoffs year for the Cardinals. Man, the team needs to purge their management.

For some reason, great batters crap out at Busch, go to another team and start hitting well. Time and time again.

Portland Diamond Project is buying waterfront property for a ballpark and development.

I wonder if the cities with groups actively pursuing a team are considered the frontrunners -- Portland, Orlando, Salt Lake, Nashville, Raleigh, Austin, Charlotte. Sacramento doesn't have a group but wants to use the A's as an audition.

I wonder if Portland might make a run at the A’s? Rumor is the Las Vegas funding still isn’t finalized.

With last night's loss, the White Sox have tied the 1962 Mets for the most losses in a single season in the modern era. With six games left to play, they'll almost certainly break that record.

Who knows, maybe next year they can try to beat the all-time loss leader, the 1899 Cleveland Spiders (20-134). Fucking yikes.

Bob Nutting can fuck alllllllllllllllll the way off.

There were some rumors going around recently that Mark Cuban (who was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in nearby suburb Mount Lebanon) was looking to buy the Pirates, and goddamn do I wish it was true.

I am looking forward to being able to see some Angels games in Sacramento for a few years.

Hopefully they don't play in the middle of the summer where it gets into the 110s. Not looking forward to seeing the Giants have to do that next year.

My assumption is they’ll mostly be night games, but yeah the summer gets very hot here.

Everyone went to see the White Sox set the loss record but instead they beat the Angels and give them the most losses in a season in team history (96).

After managing to stave off the inevitable with a sweep of the Angels, the Sox finally dropped one in Detroit. 121 losses, the new worst record in the modern era.

Mariners, giant midseason collapse. Twins, giant late season collapse. Has there ever been three massive collapses in an MLB season?
