NFL 2024: Chiefs Kingdom Targets a Three-Peat

This 49ers game pissed me off. I'm sure in a few hours I will listen to 49ers podcasts saying calm down and it's not so bad but right now my instant reaction is this team leaves a lot to be desired. Leave aside that the Offense was walking wounded, the Defense was atrocious today again, much like last week. We barely heard Bosa, Warner was pretty contained, and who else plays defense for this team? Hufanga was nowhere to be seen but he's coming back from an ACL so that's understandable. I'm just sick and tired of them giving up the big play, something that was noticable even in week 1.

As for the Offense, Jennings had the game of his life today but it's time for Aiyuk to show up or shut up. He held out for that much money all training camp long and you can easily tell. As for Ronnie Bell, get that scrub off this team now. That was a pass you have to catch and it was right in the hands.

As for special teams, What was that. Were you playing prevent defense? Hell, that was a punt if I remember correctly so kick it to the sideline, not in the middle of the freaking field. And the play on the fake was terrible too.

That was a lousy and concerning game today.

I don’t know, I thought it was pretty good!

That bomb to Atwell at the end was pretty sweet.

As was that punt return.

There were two sensational catches in this game. The Atwell bomb was great but that Jennings catch where he went over that guys head and caught it was amazing. One of the reasons I was pissed the 49ers lost was because Purdy had an amazing game and Jennings had the game of his life. Everyone else let both of them down.

Yeah Jennings went nuts. Great game. I was like “Will someone cover that fucking guy?!?!”

So who is ready to jump on the Andy Dalton bandwagon?! Sports talk is all over it.

ESPN and USA Today both have stories on their websites suggesting that the Pittsburgh Steelers might be willing to trade Russell Wilson to the Mami Dolphins in order to bolster their depleted QB position.
Any trade would have to be approved by Wilson, but with Fields leading Pittsburgh to a 3-0 start and performing better than expected, the front office might give Wilson a nudge.

Did he sign a deal written into his contract for Pittsburgh to continue paying him a guaranteed salary if he jumps elsewhere, like he did for Denver? If so, he might make a league record being the first QB to draw a paycheck from 3 different teams simultaneously!

Pittsburgh is paying Wilson the veteran minimum. If they were to trade him, they would just send the contract with him.

As far as Miami goes, I think they are going to try to survive until Tagovailoa returns after the bye.

What's with college and pro teams calling really bad plays on 4th down at the end of one-score games?

If you were the Raiders or Dolphins, would you try to trade for Russell Wilson to salvage the season? That's the story out there. Who knows if they're even interested.

As a Dolphins fan, I’m not sure what adding Wilson does to help them catch Buffalo? So, I would not be for adding him.

I wonder if the Jaguars are having buyer’s remorse over the Lawrence contract?

Don’t be so sure. Washington has a propensity for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Any given Sunday and all that. Well, Monday in this case.

Brett Farve announced in front of a Congressional Committee on Concussions, that he has Parkinsons possibly due to repeated concussions suffered while playing for Green Bay.

So... I missed last night's game between Washington and Cincinnati due to a plumbing emergency with one of my bathrooms and Just now looked at the stats:
  • Total rushing yards Washington: 108 --- Total rushing yards Cincinnati: 124
  • Total passing yards Washington: 248 --- Total passing yards Cincinnati: 312
  • Total yards Washington: 356 --- Total yards Cincinnati: 436
  • Yards per play Washington: 6.2 --- Yards per play Cincinnati: 7.3
  • Final score Washington: 38 --- Final score Cincinnati: 33
After all that, with Cincinnati running all the offensive stats, Washington still won?!? WTF??? :wtf:

Kind of sorry I missed it.

Missed a FG and a two-point conversion, and had to settle for FG’s on two other drives.

Yardage is indicative that Cincinnati could’ve won the game had the converted one of those FG’s into TD’s and hit on the missed FG and two-point conversion.

Of course, the defense totally shit the bed, Washington didn’t punt the entire game, and only halftime cut one of their drives short.
