What is the most offensive thing you can say to a Star Trek fan? I'll kick it off with some low hanging fruit:

* Star Trek IV with time travel and whales was convoluted.
* Counsellor Troi isn't as hot as she thinks she is.
* Deep Space 9 was cheap version Babylon 5
* The "live long and prosper" hand signal looks like two in the pink, two in the stink
* Leonard Nimoy was drunk all the time
* Sulu isn't even a Japanese name

Grow a thicker skin if that actually offends you.
Counsellor Troi isn't as hot as she thinks she is.
Umm, okay?
Deep Space 9 was cheap version Babylon 5
Pretty sure B5 had the lower budget.
The "live long and prosper" hand signal looks like two in the pink, two in the stink
* Leonard Nimoy was drunk all the time
WTF?
Sulu isn't even a Japanese name
It really isn't. "Sulu" isn't even pronounceable in the Japanese language.

Okay? I don't remember Troi saying either way about herself. I don't know what "two in the pink, two in the stink is". I don't think whether Nimoy was drunk or not would gather that much response either way. Few household names (bigger than Nimoy was during TOS' run) were quite plastered/stoned during taping... Like Reed supposedly stumbling onto the set drunk swearing and hurling insults about how dumb the show was, time to time during Brady Bunch's run.

And names change over time. We have names that didn't exist a couple centuries ago. I don't think most fans would care about those either way...

This has all the potential of a Milli Vanilli reunion. Were one held TODAY.

First of all, why would you even want to know what the most offensive things is you could say to a Star Trek fan?

Anyway, the most offensive thing you could say to this particular Star Trek fan wouldn't have anything have to do with Trek, not even remotely. Those are just TV-shows and movies. But I guess that's not what you mean.

I don't care too much about logical consistency or plot holes. That is, I do care about the quality of stories but I'm not going to be offended by lesser quality stories or lesser quality visual effects. It's only entertainment after all. I might get slightly offended about a message or supposed episode takeaway I see as 'morally wrong'. For example, a remark such as 'Picard was right in Homeward, they should have adhered to the Prime Directive!

Also (but perhaps that's just me) I'd draw a clear line between offensive remarks about Star Trek (which is only a fictional universe), and offensive remarks about real-world people that worked on Star Trek. I'd be much more prudent in the second case- even if those remarks were actually true.
