Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

Damn Skippy!! The 1956 Science Fiction Theater episode "The Living Lights" stars Skip Homier as a young scientist who recreates the atmosphere of Venus in a bell jar in his secret kitchen lab, and it spontaneously creates the titular beings.

Heh. Titular.

I've been watching this show for a while now (this was ep 56). It has two tropes for scientists making wild discoveries - either they're eccentric geniuses living alone in a remote desert lab, or they're young turks with a makeshift lab in their kitchen or basement.

Dammit, I'm a doctor, not a pilot! Dee Kelly in the Science Fiction Theater episode "Survival in Box Canyon" (Oct 1956). Dee plays a scientist on his way to an important atom bomb test in his private plane, when he disappears from radar over the trackless desert. Back at headquarters, they use an amazing new electronic brain (ie, a wall-full of blinky lights) to calculate his course and find him! The ep also serves as an advertisement for the Civil Air Patrol.

Talosians turn up in the craziest places! Alex P. Keaton is having flashback hallucinations (... illusions?) of his past, including his first grade teacher, Meg Wylie!
Family Ties, Season 5, "A, My Name is Alex (1987).

MoviesTV is showing "Escape from the Planet of the Apes". I knew William Windom appeared as the President, but I've just now noticed is that Jason Evers, Rael from "Wink of an Eye" is one of the members of the panel interrogating Cornelius and Zira.

France Nuyen and Jeff Corey along with special guest star Herbert Lom are appearing in the current episode of Hawaii Five-O.

Whoa. As an unapologetic Season 3 apologist, I will need to watch this more or less immediately. Kind of like that time I stumbled upon a random Dynasty episode that had Joanne Linville and Lee Bergere.

Herbert Lom would have been a great guest star if he would have been on Star Trek, but alas, the only Herbert on Star Trek was in The Way to Eden..."Herbert, Herbert, Herbert"...

Arlene Martel attempts to interrogate Steve via neck pinch:

The Six Million Dollar Man, "The Last of the Fourth of Julys" (April 5, 1974)

A couple of episodes earlier, in "The Rescue of Athena One" (guest-starring Farrah), Trek got a big, fat shout-out when Steve paraphrased Shatner's opening monologue. "Space. It is the final frontier, and I can't go."

Someone on YouTube has uploaded episodes of 'M Squad' staring Lee Marvin, which was the basis of the parody 'Police Squad!'.
Anyway, one of the thumbnails shows a young Leonard Nimoy standing next to Lee Marvin and James Coburn.

Doing F-Troop in the mornings again. I know I posted all the appearances earlier in the thread but I got to Julie Newmar's episode "Yellow Bird" again, and I just have to express my appreciation for what a great comic actress she was. Aside from the stunning beauty and mile-long legs, the lady's comic timing was wonderful.

My Amazon Fire tablet is recommending a made for tv movie called 'SST: Death Flight'. A look at the cast list shows that Barbara Anderson and Brock Peters along with future 'Q' John de Lancie all make appearances.
