Spoilers Andor season one

It really wouldn't.

Andor and Mando are two completely different genres. What works for Andor would not work for Mando.
Why are you assuming that Gilroy can only work at one particular setting?
Besides, "sending notes" doesn't mean anything other than giving advice that the others could then take or reject.

Season Two of "LOKI" had proven to be something of a surprise to me. I really didn't care for Season One and had expected to dislike Season Two. Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed that show's second season.

My opinion of "ANDOR" Season One isn't as low as my opinion of the first season of "LOKI". But I had not been that impressed by "ANDOR" Season One. I liked it, but I thought it was somewhat overrated. I hope I will end up enjoying its second season a lot more, just as I had ended up enjoying "LOKI" Season Two.

Wow.

There was concept art for that?
Both McQuarrie and Johnston produced concept art for the house and the Kashyyyk environment based on Lucas's initial brief. What the show makers then did with it all is of course another matter entirely.

For what it's worth; McQuarrie's designs were basically what Chiang, Church and the rest of the art department stuck with for RotS and beyond, so it's all perfectly valid. It's one of the reasons I have a lot of affection for the old 'Droids' cartoon, at least from a design perspective. Anything like that where Lucasfilm were deeply involved in the design has a certain genuine authenticity to it that some of the later EU material really lacks IMO.

Saw the Rogue One movie with a younger family member who is a big Star Wars fan. Didn't connect with the characters nor the overall setting at all.
Then came season one of Andor. Easily one of the best TV series I've seen - ever - with lots of interesting characters and stories, as well as wonderful visuals (sets, costumes) and music scores.
Very much looking forward seeing season two and then the movie again - this time in a very different light.

There is some great content on all things the Holiday Special (probably better than the SWHS itself ;)) here mate...

and the site's owner and webmaster (SKot) also contributed to / was involved with the recent 'A Disturbance in the Force' documentary on the Holiday Special.

IIRC there was some interesting stuff on the SWHS at http://therealcharleslippincott.blogspot.com too - along with some other quality rare content and insightful takes on early Star Wars in general (from a person often written out of / downplayed in official Star Wars history). RIP Charles Lippincott.
