Contest: ENTER SF&F Avatar contest: Who let the dogs out?

the G-man

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Thanks to everyone who voted for Mirror Spock in the last contest.

Today is National Dog Day in the U.S., prompting the latest contest theme: SF & Fantasy dogs.

From Astro to Zero, stories about dogs touch (almost) all of us. Even the cast of Mary Worth reminds us that dogs are great and great "chick (or dude) magnets."

So, for this contest, we are looking for dogs who live in a SF or Fantasy setting. Fantastic or alien creatures that look more or less like dogs are also allowed (but not distinct creatures based on the creator's dog-Sorry Chewbacca).

Usual rules apply: Entries may not be bigger than 200x200 pixels and/or 1 Mb data, and must be safe-for-work, with up to three entries per user.

Release the hounds, everybody!

K-9; Doctor Who

I am a bit surprised there isn't more participation in this contest, considering the very broad and provenly popular theme. I wasn't originally going to enter K-9, thinking I'd leave this one for other users, but it's been almost a week now.

Where is Porthos? Where is Lockjaw from The Inhumans? Where's Cosmo from GotG? Hell, considering how timely it would be, where is Dogpool?
Elvira's poodle. Ambrosius from Labyrinth. Einstein and Copernicus from BttF. Frank from MiB. The dogs from E.T. or Gremlins. Milo from The Mask. Sparky from Frankenweenie. Fucking Toto from The Wizard of Oz!

Ghost, Game of Thrones
(I know, technically a direwolf, but I'm hoping he counts under "Fantastic or alien creatures that look more or less like dogs are also allowed")
