Well, my reaction to it is hard to parse. More of Syria and his mom, and Luthen's assistant are major pauses to me.On this forum? Madness.
Also assuming that one of those arcs really should have some kind of intersection point (directly or otherwise) with Mon Mothma's flight into exile from Rebels, which by extension probably means we're going to see the Ghorman Massacre, possibly from Cassian's and/or Syril's perspective.
I'm not expecting them to spend a huge amount of screen time linking directly up to the opening of Rogue One; at least not Jyn's side of it with Bodhi and Galen's whole thing. Much more likely that we'll see Tivik, since he was obviously Cassian's asset. We may get another glimpse of Saw's increasing obsession over hunting down the clues to Stardust's existence, whether that'll be before or after the mission to Geonosis remains to be seen. Speaking of Saw, we might actually get to see both him joining and being kicked out of the Alliance, since in Rebels the latter appears to happen off-screen.
The rest of it I'm sure will be original storytelling. Gilroy isn't the sort to be overly concerned with tying into other things unless it's both necessary and beneficial to the narrative.

Andor and Mando are two completely different genres. What works for Andor would not work for Mando.
