Going by a recent thread, that a word can have a slightly different meaning in the future.
Well, the lyrics still go with the images, they just added a more upbeat instrumental behind them.
Exactly!Especially paired with the great imagery in the opening.
Imagine if the show had gone seven seasons? The season seven version would have been horrific!!!As the show got better the theme song got worse!

The Enterprise theme is not bad actually. When first heard it I thought it was Rod Stewart, then I learned the original version was by Stewart and this is some cover.Take your pick. (Psst. It's the last one.)
I didn't say Goldsmith was the only good and important composer for Star Trek. Not a TNG fan?
(Looks at Courage, Steiner, Kaplan, Fried, etc.)
Star Trek?
(RIP Jerry.)
It's not a loophole, it's the Prime Directive. It's the flip side of "You don't have warp drive, we can't rescue ANY of you when your planet burns." The Ba'ku have interstellar travel. And IIRC they are in Federation space. (I never thought about that. What the hell kind of borders does the Fed have if not every world in its space has to be a member?)
Well, that is definitely a controversial one.Controversial opinion: I'd rather watch Nemesis over the other next generation films.
Well, that's the name of the threadWell, that is definitely a controversial one.
As you said, you delivered on the name of the thread.Well, that's the name of the thread
And honestly, it is isn't a commentary on what is the better movie. It's just a preference of interesting themes and ideas that I find more interesting.
Nemesis has more Romulans, which I definitely welcome, as well as a pretty fun little escape sequence with the Scorpion ship. It doesn't have the Borg.
For me, it's just fun. It's a fun little adventure.

Some of the best music composed for a TV series....I adore Goldsmith's work, but Star Trek did just fine long before he joined up.

I don’t like PRO. I’ve tried to watch it thrice now. The first time I never went back after episode 1. The second I got as far as 3. The third I did 1 again and thought… ‘I’m not enjoying this’ and stopped.
I wish I could see what so many see on this board ‘cause I see so many smart posters singing its praises, but it leaves me absolutely cold.
What would Star Trek be without Alexander Courage's franchise-defining, franchise-transcending music? For me the music is very important, too. Just like characters or ships.
I couldn't enjoy the show wtih bad or wrong music.
F.e. what would Star Trek be without Jerry Goldsmith?
