Whatever happened to the Sci-Fi Museum Enterprise D Bridge in Storage?

I think it's pretty much dead.

Larry Nemecek, Star Trek's unofficial franchise-wide historian, separately left the New Starship Foundation board in January 2015. In light of these latest happenings, he told Ars that Huddleston's arrest and pending criminal accusations likely meant that the museum's efforts were essentially over.

"It's likely too tainted," he texted Ars. "Unless someone is well-funded and determined to shrug this off. I don't know who that'd be, at this stage."

Agreed, the project is dead. I wonder if anyone has set pieces in their possession since Huddleston was arrested?

After Generations was there really that much of the bridge set left to keep? I can remember reading years ago that the wood wishbone that held the tactical station was in storage and that's about it.

Google images turned up a picture of the set post Generations in Trekbbs thread about restoring it back in 2012.

It was disappointing after the 1701-D Bridge set had been revised to perfection for Generations it then gets destroyed. :sigh:
Too bad Disney land and Disney world don't have a Star Trek Next Generation ride or something.
Or how about DS9 looking shopping/ dinning area? Like at Universal studios?
I'd go.

I suspected a con the moment the unfinished bridge restoration project expanded to a museum. Which is the usual step to hide the fact you have no interest to even achieve your first goal (and no actual ability to do so) but a strong interest to keep the inflow of donations going and expand the need for them.

Ah well, let's try this instead:
