Now that I've seen the image capture, I think she got shot in almost the same spot Locke got shot? More or less in the side.

She'd likely have a punctured lung and would be in danger of bleeding to death, but not necessarily a fatal wound in and of itself. I'm less convinced she's dead now.

Not dead.
I'm intrigued by the OP's theory on a possible connection between her and Ben. Not sure about that, but it would make an interesting twist.
"We will also find out who "seemingly killed" Karl and Rousseau

Seemingly killed? Lots of wiggle room there.
I wonder though if that is the description they(TV Guide) wrote sight unseen of the episode or if it is a description they were given(by ABC)?
Good question. There's no quote from Lindelof or Cuse saying this in the TV Guide article. It just explains what we'll learn.

Sounds like they saw the same episode we did and they know how the Lost game works. ;)

Did she get a DUI recently?
:cardie: Huh?
Some people are convinced that Michelle Rodriquez, Cindy Watros, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Aqbaje were all fired because of DUIs (although the latter was arrested due to an incorrect problem with his license). They also think the same will happen to Daniel Dae Kim.

Are the Lost producers really so much in thrall to the Hawaii State Highway Patrol? ;) I know they have to keep on good terms with local government, but still - a hit series that showcases the state's natural beauty is good for the tourism business. Considering how expensive it is to film there, shows like Lost aren't all that common. The local authorities would probably wink at a few things.

I wonder what would happen if more valuable cast members like Terry O'Quinn or Michael Emerson got a DUI? I wouldn't think they'd get the boot quite so readily.

Of course that assumes the conspiracy theorists are right and the producers are canning these actors because they get arrested. Frankly, I find the whole notion absurd.

I can't even think of a show where an actor was fired for a DUI or drug abuse. I tend to doubt people would get fired for doing so. Maybe if they were going to jail for a year where they'd be unavailable.

I could see em tossing someone under the bus to keep the local authorities happy. Not anyone important to the storyline or ratings, of course. ;)

Most likely it's an excuse for doing what they'd do anyway.
