Lower Decks Final Season: What Do You Hope to See?

I really, really, really would absolutely love to see Enterprise characters worked in somehow. It would be fun to see them in this animation style. Plus, the likelihood we will ever get Ms. Blalock back in front of the cameras is pretty darn low but vocal recording can even be done from home so that seems somewhat more probable. If we’re going to dream stupendously big dreams, in a perfect world, this Enterprise cameo would show Trip wasn’t killed in a heroic but poorly executed manner in 2161.

I’d love a flash forward as well, specifically to 2383 or beyond so I can see some or all the Prodigy characters in this style of animation too.

Besides desired cameos, I want to see personal growth for Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and T’Lyn in particular. I want to see them stumble in amusing and endearing ways but pick themselves up and keep moving forward. I want them to remain supportive of each other. I want them to explore interesting places and interact with engaging characters.

I especially want, like @Paul755, for the finale to find them voyaging onward together.

Oh, and I’d like some insight and encompassing dogma in regards to the smiling koala.

- Something related to Enterprise. The other pre-Disco series have gotten the nod from LD, so its their turn.
- Follow up to William Boimler and Section 31
- What became of the other original Lower Deckers – Lavelle, Ogawa, Taurik, & Ben
- Aliens to see: Gallamites, Terellians, Reptoids, Tyrakheans, Kelpiens, Ktarians, Ocampa, Megans, Beta Annari, Tulians, and Troyans
- The Fleet Museum
- Enterprise-E
- The Defiant (maybe as a Mariner flashback on DS9)
- Something related to Teresa Ramirez and the Mariposas.
- A reference to the USS Protostar
- Wrigley's Pleasure Planet and Ba'ku
- Kalar warrior

Well, I have a feeling it won’t feel like a series finale.

Unless they’ve known since last year it would be the end.

That's a good point. If they had already begun producing season 5 before they got the axe (like DSC), then there probably won't be a whole lot of wrapping up of plotlines or giving characters a good end. They'll just show what they've produced so far, and maybe they'll add something at the end (again, like DSC.)

For me, season 4 was definitely lack a LOT of the MariBoims dynamic. It's not that i didn't enjoy Brutherford (lol) getting to bond or the girls trip, but I also can't blame fans in other places I post at who felt like Mariner's meltdown in 4x06 and/or The Inner Fight could've landed better if she'd gotten said moments with characters we've seen her bonding with.

I have no delusions about them becoming a couple, but their dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the show and I hope we get more of that.
