Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

And you're 100% wrong.

Except I'm not, and its obvious in literally every frame of that show.

Anyway, I'm done talking about Andor here, its majorly derailed a completely unrelated thread. You like Andor, I think its insulting shit, and neither of us are wrong, thats what opinions are.

I can't be wrong in my opinion of the show, its an objective opinion.

I also never said that Star Wars fans can't like the show. I said it was made for people that hate SW by people that hate SW, but people outside of a show/movies demographic can enjoy stuff not made for them. I like a bunch of shows that I am not in the target demographic of, and there is nothing wrong with that. Andor is made by people with nothing but contempt for everything Star Wars is, was or should be, people who probably worship shows like GoT or Mad Men and used Disney money to try to tell their crappy "prestige TV" spy story by putting a Star Wars coat of paint in it. Anyone can like it, I don't care what people like, but the show definitely comes from a place of hating the source material and it does everything it can to distance itself from Star Wars. A writer could probably re-write the entire show to take place on 21st century Earth and they'd barely have to do anything but find and replace place names and vehicle/weapon terms in the script.
Originally, it came across that anyone who liked Andor was a person who hates Star Wars. I respectfully disagree with you in thinking it was made by people who hate SW, but you have the right to that opinion.

If what I said seemed to imply that I thought that people who like Andor can't like the rest of Star Wars then I apologize for it coming off like that, I definitely didn't mean for it to come across that way. I do however maintain my opinion about the people who made the show and their relationship towards the SW franchise.

The idea that the people who run Star Wars would air a show by and for people who hate Star Wars is absurd. So is the idea that they haven't approved every script and every episode at multiple stages and they accidentally aired a hater show because they missed the nefarious haterificness of it.

Andor isn't Star Wars by or for people who hate Star Wars. It's Star Wars for people who liked Star Wars as kids but aren't kids now and are tired of kid stuff and shows that pander to nostalgic fans. It's Star Wars by and for people who think Star Wars can be taken seriously.

Doctor Who has to walk a similar line, being family-friendly but keeping viewers as they age, balancing fun and nostalgia with changes in what people expect from TV series as the years go by. I think by and large they've managed that pretty well, and for me, at least, better than Star Wars has on average.

Millie, Varada* &
Bonnie were shooting together today. They were asking people not to take photos but the scenes seem to be set in the past, so looks like Mel finally gets another trip in the TARDIS.

*Or should I say Belinda...

Amendment to the above.

Rather than being the past it seems to be an alternative facistic present with people in 1950s style clothes. So these two photos are from the same scene.

Hope they remember to CGI out the Cardiff City Council logo on the wheelie bin!

Interestingly
while everyone else is in 1950s style clothes Millie is in the same outfit she had on in Episode 4, which is the only other one we know for sure she's in.
