You Know You're a Trekkie When...

You answer your mobile (which flips open of course) with "Go ahead" rather than "hello"
-I've done this.

I use a DS9 communicator chirp for incoming text messages (occasionally I'll use TNG), and various LCARS sounds for rings and alarms. :)

When you fly into a rage when someone says "You're into Star Trek? Who's your favourite? Darth Vader?"

OK, I'm starting to see I don't take this seriously enough. I thought I was devoted getting together with a friend to spend a weekend watching the dvd's and debating the finer points.

I've got some new ideas now - must sort the ringtones on my phone!!

Haha. I had the opposite response. I related far too well to many of these responses. I guess a lot of them are only funny because they at least resemble reality for many people!

...when you look in the mirror and realize your pupils have mutated into Starfleet chevron shapes.

and, in a related vein...

...when you look in the mirror and wonder why your reflection doesn't have a goatee (or has one, depending on your real world appearance.)

Too many of these apply to me, or would if I had more money.

You know you're a trekkie when you name your second car Defiant instead of Enterprise because you don't want the car jinxed by being the Enterprise A.

You buy two of every Trek related item-one to open, and one just to keep pristine in the package!

ok, this hits a little too close to TRUFAN for comfort. I'm just thinking of my "Captain's photographs" tie still in the plastic sleeve in my closet-and the other in my tie/dress sox/extra watches etc drawer.:guffaw:

I tend to answer it(after flipping it open-I wouldn't have any other style)"Tim here."

I don't have a flip phone anymore, sadly. I think I'll still adopt these greetings tho :p

I've made a LCARS interface for my mobile phone.

Just curious, what kind of mobile do you have? I have been searching for an LCARS interface for my BlackBerry.
